Agad kong nabitawan ang teleponong hawak ko sa sobrang gulat. Nanlalaki ang mga mata ko at parang paulit-ulit akong sinasaksak kahit pa nga wala na akong maramdaman. I feel numb but my tears won't stop falling from my eyes.

"Hyannabi? Hyannabi!" I could still hear Enoch's voice.

I harshly wiped my tears away and picked up my phone again. Agad kong pinatay ang tawag at hindi na muling nag-aksaya pa ng panahon. I immediately maneuvered my car away from that place.

I could still feel myself trembling. From what I've heard from Adonis and that woman whose name is Faith and now Dein's accident and she's in critical state. Para akong pinapatay ng walang kalaban-laban. Ang sakit-sakit. I can't even express what I feel because the word pain is just the front of it. It's not enough.

I texted Enoch to send me an address. Mabilis ko namang pinaharurot ang sasakyan ko sa address na ibinigay niya sa'kin. Wala pang ilang minuto ay narating ko na ang ospital at nakitang maraming nurse at at ilang doktor ang nasa labas ng ospital at nagkakagulo.

I quickly hopped out my car never minding if I even parked it right according to protocols or not. I just couldn't find myself thinking rationally at the situation where I am in right now. It's hard to remain calm especially if my emotion just bursted out. I just can't.

"Enoch!" I cried when I saw him outside the hospital.

He's trembling, red and bloodshot eyes and he looked like entirely mess. Just like me, I'm pretty sure. Halatang umiyak ito dahil sa medyo may kabasaang pisngi nang madatnan ko.

"Yanna, s-she's in emergency room..."

Napapikit ako at napahilamos sa aking mukha. I nodded my head as I looked at him with sympathy and fear in my eyes. I wanted to everything to be all right. Ayokong ipakitang nanghihina ako ngayon dahil mas kailangan ni Enoch ng taong dadamayan siya dahil sa nangyari.

Enoch is strong and cold as an ice but when it comes to Dein, he's always ready to melt. He only shows his weak side to Dein and sometimes to me. They're both my best friend, a family to be precise.

"Everything's gonna be alright, Enoch." I hugged him.

Sabay na kaming pumasok sa loob ng ospital at tinungo ang direksyon ng ICU. Undergoing parin ang operasyon kay Dein ayon kay Enoch. He only went outside to wait for my arrival.

"Kanina ka pa ba rito?"

Nakaupo kami sa isang mahabang upuan na kulay puti sa labas lamang ng ER. We're still waiting for the announcement of the doctor who's operating her inside. There's no single minute that I would dare to let pass without praying that she's going to be fine.

I've never been a religious person but I know when to kneel whatever it takes. Hindi ako pala-simba pero madalas naman akong magdasal sa panginoon para magpatuloy sa pang-araw-araw na pamumuhay. I'd always been grateful to him for letting me see the world even if sometimes I just wish to give up because I can't take it anymore.

But we all know that there are still better days ahead. God wanted us to survive because he knew that we had our own dreams to pursue. He wanted us to live our lives because life still has a better offer ahead on. He had planned everything and all we need is to stay faithful and trust Him in everything.

"After her operation... we're going to leave the Philippines, Yanna." Enoch said. Natigilan ako.

My brows furrowed in confusion. "Why do we need to leave?"
