This is a heavy chapter. There's a lot of heavy talk from Tom that might be triggering.
"Are you fucking serious?" Molly screams as they walk through the door.
"You have no right to-"
"Do you know how fucking embarrassing it is to have your 35 year old husband throw a fucking tantrum in the middle of a doctor's office? What if I just started flipping out?"
"That's completely different, Molly."
"No, it's not. You acted like a child and I'm sick and tired of always fighting with you. Why can't we have a simple damn conversation without you getting pissed at me?"
"If you didn't say things to make me pissed, I wouldn't be."
"Fuck you. You're so damn irritating sometimes. I try to help you and all I get is you yelling and walking out that door for a breather."
"I'm irritating? You don't help, you nag. All you do is nag, nag, nag."
"At least I'm trying to save our marriage."
"Save our marriage? This is new."
"Don't act like you don't sense it too."
"Sense what?"
"We're drifting. You're not who you were when I married you and-"
"No, really? That's a shock. You know, I always thought that people don't change after they suffer massive amounts of trauma. Is that just a me thing or..."
"I knew you'd change but not this much."
"Well I'm sorry that my trauma doesn't follow your agenda. What day do you want me to have a nervous breakdown, Molly? Does next Monday work? Why don't you write that down in your fucking calendar so then I could be prepared for you?"
"Stop it, that's childish."
"What's childish is that you just turn a blind eye to what I'm going through."
"I help you. I make sure you eat, get you out of bed-"
"Yell at me, blame me for things-"
"Bullshit. Like what?"
"Well you blamed me for needing the surgery."
"It's facts, Tom. This wouldn't have happened if-"
"Just shut up. Please shut the fuck up for one damn minute. I don't want to hear it."
"What else do you fucking want to say that I blame you for, hmh?"
"Everything, Molly. You blame me for everything that's wrong with me."
"I don't. That's ridiculous."
"It's not. You've told me to get over it too."
"Okay, Tom," Molly groans and puts her head in her hands. "I... you freak out of someone looks at you weird, alright? People look at me all the time. They've grabbed me at events, whistled, said vulgar things, you just have to deal with it. It's unfortunate but we're famous, we have to deal with people."
"You pose half naked on magazine covers, Molly."
"What so it's okay? That's a fucking shocker coming from you. You show your arse in movies, then I guess Matt's actions are justified."
Tom's heart falls. "What did you just say to me?"
"I'm just using your logic against you. I pose in simpy clothes so it's okay for creepy arse old men to grab me at events. You show your arse, Matt had every right to do what he did."
