Two Weeks Later

Tom walks through the dark house, vision already blurred. He carefully walks up the stairs, tightly holding onto the railing so that he doesn't fall over.

He'd left at 5pm the night before after having a huge fight with Molly. It had become a quite regular occurrence.

"Here you go,"

"What's this?"

"It'll help. You told me before that you just wanted to sleep, this'll make you sleep."

"There's three this time."

"Trust me, you'll be alright."

"But this is more than before and one of them is different."

"And it'll work. You can't really overdose on this stuff unless you take like 5 of 'em each. I wouldn't do anything that would hurt you."

"Oh, I've heard that before." Tom closes his eyes and takes a drink of water, following it with the three pills.

Tom slowly opens the bedroom door to see Molly lying there, asleep. He smiled at his wife, looking so beautiful and peaceful.

He takes off of his jacket and collapses on the bed next to her. He closes his eyes and tries to keep the room from spinning.

"Thomas?" Molly asks, suddenly waking up.

"C-can.... can you please get me some water? My throat feeaAls like sandpaper."

"Were you drinking?"

"No."

"Swear on Lillian's life?"

"I swear that I have no recollection of drinking."

"No recollection? You could've drank yourself into oblivion and just not remembered."

"No, no, Molly, I... I know I didn't drink. I know that it upsets you."

"So what, were you doing drugs or something? Cocaine? Meth? I know you didn't do heroin because the thought of dirty needles terrifies you."

"No." Tom whispers. "It's round."

"Round? So you are doing drugs?"

"N... no. No, it... makes me sleepy. I don't do drugs, you know that, I don't like them."

"A round pill that makes you sleepy is a drug, Thomas. Why are you taking them?"

"Um, it's supposed to help."

Molly sits and tries to figure out what could possibly be going on. "With what?"

"It... it's supposed to make you feel better."

"Yeah, about what?"

"I..." Tom stops talking and feels a lump in his throat. "Molly, I don't feel too-"

Molly tries to grab a garbage can but it's too late. Her lips purse and she takes a deep breath, trying not to start screaming in anger. "Thomas William Hiddleston," she says, her voice shaking in frustration.
