Tom walks out of the building, his phone ringing in his hand. A large sigh leaves his mouth as he answers. "Hello?"
"Tom, how was the meeting?" Molly asks.
"It's none of your business, honestly."
"Yes, it is."
"How? Tell me how?"
"Because you're my daughter's father. I need to know if you're going to see her. "
"How did you even know I had a meeting today?"
"You're my husband."
"Not anymore. Why are you calling me?"
"Are you taking my daughter tomorrow?" Molly snaps.
"Yes, Molly, I'm taking our daughter."
"So you're coming to my house?"
"I was going to have Denise pick her up and we'd have dinner and icecream."
"Oh, you're eating? Good."
"That's surprising?"
"Well I don't know, you know how you get."
"How I get? That I have OSFED? Is that what you mean? I'm sorry I have an eating disorder but you don't need to be an arse about it. This is why I'm divorcing you."
"You're divorcing me? It's the other way around."
"Oh? How's that?"
"You're emotionally negligent. I'm not asking for anything except for the house because I don't want Lillian to be relocated. Upon selling, we'll spilt the earnings."
"I'm sure you'll be able to keep them all." Tom says.
"What do you mean?"
"Don't worry about spilting anything."
"You bought this house too. It's rightfully in your name. I just want it because of Lillian."
"I know. I don't care about that, you should have Lily. She's a girl, she should be with you. There are things I can't help her with. I just need to see my daughter."
"I'm not trying to be a dick."
"That's a first."
"Thomas-" Molly groans. "Don't fucking start."
"I'm just saying."
"I don't to keep her away from you. She loves you so much and I know you love her, she's your daughter. I just... need to make sure that she's safe."
"Would I hurt her?"
"Not on purpose. I need you to be sober, eating enough, and mentally well before I can send her by you. Besides, I barely know Denise."
"She's a good woman."
"I know but she's going to be around my daughter. I need to make sure she can take care of her."
"She can. I understand your reserves for me but she's a nice person, she'll be a great..."
"A what?"
"Person to watch Lily. That's what I meant."
"Mhm, sure, I believe you."
"Mols-"
"Listen, I have to go. What time are you getting Lily tomorrow?"
"Um, probably 5 o'clock."
"5? Okay. She's staying until Saturday."
