I slid out of the squad truck, rustling to get redressed as Kelly slid out behind me, buckling his belt. I was using my fingers to rid myself of the messy sex hair look.

"Live up to your fantasy?" I asked Kelly who was wearing a large smirk.

"Even better," he grinned, "How funny would it be if that's the one that made our next baby?"

"Oh boy. At least we'd have a good story from it. Now, how do I look?"

"You've got that sexy post sex glow," he teased to which I rolled me eyes, "But you're hair looks back to normal."

"Thank you. It was a pleasure doing business with you Mr. Severide."

"You just made a sexual fantasy with me sound like a business transaction."

"Exactly," I winked, before running off the apparatus floor and to the bathroom.

After using the bathroom and cleaning myself up, I headed to the bunk room for a nap. Stella's cot was beside mine and she was just eyeing me with a mischievous look in her eye.

"I noticed you and Kelly missed lunch," she stated, clearly onto us.

"I wasn't really hungry and I think Kelly was doing paperwork."

"Uh huh well that's what I figured, but I went looking for you to double check," Stella continued, making my heart beat out of my chest, "And I heard some interesting noises from the squad."

"Alright what do I have to do to get you to keep your mouth shut?"

"Did you clean the seats real good?"

"Of course, we're not animals Kidd!"

"Then we're good. I just wanted to tease you for it."

"Stella Kidd you're a pain in my ass."

"Join the club bestie."

Almost 6 weeks later I was waking up sick every morning. Severide and I had both been busy dealing with our recent move into a bigger home
for our family and juggling the new routines with the kids that there wasn't much baby making time. Ember had brought a cold home from school, so I figured that I had finally caught it.

Since I felt like crap, I just decided to make an appointment with my doctor to make sure it was just a cold and not the flu or anything like that. When I got there they did the whole work up, starting with my urine test before doing a physical exam.

"Alright, you're blood came back a little coagulated so it does look like you're a little bit dehydrated. But upon testing your urine you have no utis, but you are pregnant," the doctor rambled, causing me to pause.

"I'm pregnant?!"

"Yes by the estimates of your last period about 5 to 6 weeks. That would explain the nausea and tiredness you've been experiencing as well as the headache."

"So I don't have a cold. I'm just pregnant?"

"Yes ma'am."

"Uh thanks!"

With that I left and picked up three pregnancy timeline tests to be more accurate in the when. When I got home I took all three and got three positives all around the 6 weeks mark. With a smile on my face I headed out to the garage where Kelly was working on his car.

"Babe, got a minute?" I asked, getting his attention.

"Yeah how'd the doctors go? They tell you it was just a cold?" he questioned, wiping his hand off on his rag as he climbed out from under the car and smiled at me.

I let my eyes rake over his body for a moment. To be fair he was wearing that tight white undershirt that showed off his gold necklace and his dirty working jeans. God was he hot. I was pulled out of my thought by his boyish chuckle.

"You're hot in your car fixing outfit okay!" I defended as he chuckled, "Anyway the doctor said I don't have a cold."

"Then what is it?"

"I'm pregnant," I grinned, pulling out the test from behind my back.

He picked me up, spinning me around as we both chuckled and he pressed a long kiss to my lips, "How far along?"

"Only 5 or 6 weeks but you know what that means... you're little fantasy worked."

"Wait. We created that," he paused, pointing to my belly, "In the back of the squad."

"Yes sir."

"Best business arrangement ever," he sighed making me playfully hit him, "The kids are still at school for a couple of hours. Why don't we go celebrate our news and then get some food?"

"Sounds like a plan to me."

With that I was thrown over his shoulder and carried into the house, giggling the whole way.

Kelly and I laid in bed, his hand absent mindedly rubbing my arm. I stared up at the ceiling from my place in his arms, lost in my head.

"Penny for your thoughts?" Kelly asked, with a sweet smile.

"I'm really excited but uh, I think I want to wait until I'm 10 to 12 weeks before we tell anyone, including the kids in case...it, happens again."

"In case you miscarry?"

"Yeah. We told everyone we accidentally created another one and then I miscarried, so we had to tell everyone we weren't. I just can't handle that again."

"We can tell people whenever your ready babe. But I've got a feeling everything's going to be okay. We were financially ready for a fourth kid a year and a half, we both know that. Now we are and we actively tried so it's perfect timing."

"Let's just hope you're right," I sighed as he pressed a soft kiss to my lips, "You know what hiding this means though?"

"What?"

"If we go out at all, you've got double drinking duty," I told him with a chuckle, "And we gotta attempt to hide my nausea because it is strong."

"Don't worry baby mama, I got you."

"You're such a dumbass sometimes."

"Yeah, but I'm you're lovable dumbass."

"That's true. And I'm lucky to have you."
