Once I was cleared to work out, I squeezed that into my busy schedule. Shortly after I was cleared to return to work, I returned to the firehouse. As much as I loved my newborn, I was so excited to talk to adults and get back to the job I loved. Our nanny was back and thankfully a pro with Kinsley. I walked into work a bit later than Kelly having to take Kinsley to her 10 week check up then meet the nanny to pass her off. Walking in I was greeted by our crew as I passed them. I got myself a cup of coffee and dropped onto the couch, making a standing Kelly chuckle.
"Do I look like a zombie? 'Cause I feel like one," I sighed.
"A hot zombie, maybe," Kelly smiled, leaning down to press a kiss to my lips before walking to his office.
"You okay Corin?" Stella asked, sipping her coffee.
"Yeah just been busy. And I don't feel like I'm doing any of it to a 100%. I'm not the best mom I can, the best wife I can be, or the best firefighter I can be. And I hate that," I admitted to her without even thinking, "And Sieger has been looming around Kelly lately and I know that he would never but some part of me thinks he deserves better."
"Corin, you guys have been married for years and still on and off shift, you're the one he looks at when he's showing off."
I couldn't help but grin thinking of past moments Kelly has shown off his knowledge. It was true, he always looked to make sure I was watching.
"He's done that since we starting hooking up. I noticed it but never thought much of it. I'm a lucky girl."
"And he's a lucky guy! You've given him kids and love, just talk to him about your insecurities okay?"
"Okay..."
So that's what I did. I rambled sitting in the cot in his office until he kissed me to shut me up. When he pulled away, he cradled my face for a moment before pulling me to sit in his lap.
"Corinthia Severide, you have given me four amazing children, stability, love...hell I'd be a mess right now without you. You made me into the man I am today, and I love you more than I did the night we got together because you continue to amaze me every damn day. So don't ever doubt my love for you for a second okay?" Kelly stated with a raised eyebrow to which I nodded, "I am so lucky to have a strong, sexy woman like you as my wife and the mother of our kids. You may not think you're doing your best but you are. Our kids are loved and taken care of, that's all that matters."
"Can you just promise me one thing?"
"Sure."
"Never stop looking at me when you show off," I teased him.
"I could never stop showing off to my girl," he grinned before leaning in for a kiss.
Just then the bells went off and it was go time. This was the action I had missed while on leave and man did it feel good to be back.

"You want to do what?" I asked Violet with a raised eyebrow.
"A car wash fundraiser to help raise some money for firehouse field trips for kids and other stuff! I already know of a place we can do it and Boden says as long as we say the funds are going to support kids trips, we're good! CFD doesn't want any real connection because a bikini car wash is still taboo."
"You want me washing cars in a bikini? I just had a baby!" Sylvie clambered.
"As did I," I chimed in, "Plus won't that just attract creeps?"
"Maybe. Don't worry the guys will be there too for anyone who wants them to wash their car. They're easy to rope in once I get you guys in."
"I don't know..."
"Corin you already look hot as ever so no baby card. You too Brett. Come on it's to sponsor the kids!"
"Fine."
After getting us on board it took some persuading but eventually we got the younger guys in too. Hermann and Mouch wanted nothing to do with it, neither did Boden, rightfully so.
When the day came, Cindy and Hermann offered to take the kids to the park for the day then our nanny was coming to pick them up. There were two lines set up: one for people who wanted their car washed by our shirtless firemen and one for the people wanting us firewomen you wash their car.
Surprisingly it really wasn't that bad, it was quite fun. I was getting compliments which definitely boosted my confidence. It was good for Sylvie too as she was finally seeing how sexy her new mom bod is. Plus we were making a lots of money for the kids. After finishing the car we were on, I walked over to the cooler, chugging a water before cracking a Twisted Tea.
Suddenly I felt two hands wrap around my bare waist, causing me to squeal in shock followed by a familiar chuckle. Kelly pulled me to him and spun me around to face him.
"You scared the shit out of me," I chuckled as I playfully slapped his chest.
"Sorry I just got distracted by my sexy wife," he smirked with that boyish smile of his.
Our lips connected in a long, passionate kiss. I was so lost in my hot husband, we didn't notice a car had pulled up. Suddenly an icy cold blast of water landed on by skin, causing me to pull away and shriek.
"Back to work love birds!" Capp yelled out Kelly twisted us so his back shielded me.
"Capp I'm going to KILL you!" I yelled back before he finally dropped the hose.
We got back to washing the cars until it was time to call it. It was so much fun and was for a good cause which made it even more worth it.
"So should we keep this party going at Molly's?" Violet asked.
"Our nanny already offered so I'm in," I smiled excitedly.
"I could definitely use a night out with my sexy ass wife," Kelly smirked as he kissed me.
We all split up and headed home to change before meeting back up at Molly's. I decided to go with a casual dressy look. Plus Kelly loves when I wore sundresses.
"You look stunning," Kelly smiled as he kissed the side of my face at the table.
"Thanks handsome. Mind getting me a beer?"
"Of course. Anything for my wife."
"I'll never get tired of being called your wife."
