"So what do you guys got going on this week?" Stella asked as she joined me on the couch at the firehouse.

"Today's what, Saturday? Let's see, tomorrow we're taking the kids to the pumpkin patch/apple orchard to get there pumpkin and stuff so tomorrow night we can carve them and put them outside," I began, "Then I have to finish getting the kids costumes together as well as mine and Kelly's. They have dress up day on Friday and I'm not sending them in their nice costumes cuz they'll lose something. They have trick or treating practically most of the day Saturday then Annabelle is coming over to babysit so Kelly and I can go out to Molly's."

"Sounds like a busy week."

"Oh it is. Don't get me wrong, fall is my favorite time of year, but wrangling three little kids the week of Halloween is a pain in the ass."

"I couldn't imagine. Next year there will be a fourth."

"What have I gotten myself into?" I chuckled with a groan.

"At least next year you'll have Matt and Sylvie to go with you to flaunt your babies around."

"True. It's always more fun in pairs. We used to go with Cindy and Hermann, but there kids are grown now. I mean their youngest, Kenny's 13 now."

"Damn, time really flies."

"You're telling me. Seems like just yesterday I was pregnant with Em, now I'm pregnant with baby number 4."

"Wow...so what is the Severide household going to be for Halloween this year?"

"I've got one ninja turtle, one football player, and one buzz light year."

"Are we supposed to guess which one Ember is?" joked Cruz.

"Ember may be a daddy's girl, but she's a tough girl like her mama," Kelly chimed in as he got himself another cup of coffee.

"So which costume is she?" asked Sylvie.

"The football player," I chuckled, "She's got it all planned out. God I love that girl."

"She is honestly the cutest."

"What are you and Kelly going as?" Stella asked.

"Well while taking the kids trick or treating, I've got a simple Winnie the Pooh outfit and Kelly's just gonna wear his CFD shirt and be a firefighter. For the party, it's the professor and the pregnant school girl."

"Oh boy, that'll be good."

"Yeah, my girl's gonna look hot!" Kelly exclaimed before walking back to his office, making me roll my eyes.

"Well sounds like you guys have a busy week."

"Oh yeah."

"How do I look Mama?" Ember asked as she posed in her costume.

"You look ready kick some butt!" I chuckled, "Now how do I look?"

"Like a pregnant Winnie the Pooh," she stated, "So perfect!"

Chuckling I pulled her into my lap as we sat on her bed and played with her hair a bit, "You know, when you were just a baby, you were really sick."

"Cuz of my heart, right?"

"Exactly. I was so worried about you. I was scared I wouldn't get to see you get older."

"But I was okay. I just gotta take my medicine."

"I know. Now you're getting older and you are just the most amazing little girl. You're beautiful, and so very smart, and you are never afraid to be yourself."

"I learned from you," she shrugged and my heart just melted.

"Well just know baby girl, not matter how big you get, I'm always gonna love you. You'll always be my little girl."

"I love you too Mama," she grinned, pressing a kiss to my lips before jumping off my lap, "Now you ready to go, Pooh?"

"Yeah I'm ready. Let's go."

Kelly had the boys ready and they looked great. With that we were off trick or treating. Kelly and I walked hand in hand as we watched the kids run up to each house, all excited.

"You know next year we'll have another one to add to this chaos," Kelly smiled, resting his hand on my bump.

"I know, crazy."

"You okay? You've been quiet since we left the house."

"Em and I just had a little heart to heart when I was getting her ready. I'm just taking it all in, ya know? They're growing up so fast."

"I know what you mean. Eli was telling me today that one day he thinks he might want to be a firefighter like daddy. I'm like slow down kid, you've got plenty of time."

"You ready to do it all again with a newborn?"

"Oh yeah. It's gotta be the easiest by far. First time was a heart condition and the second time there was two of them. As long as it's one, healthy baby...we got this."

"Let's hope."

After taking the kids around the neighborhood, they had a boat load of candy. Once we were back at the house we watched a fall movie together until the babysitter got there. Kelly put the twins to bed and we let Ember stay up with Emily, the sitter.

After bidding them goodbye, we headed to Molly's. Kelly had his hand around my waist as we walked in, him holding the door open for me.

"Thanks professor," I winked as he walked in, finding our friends.

I couldn't help but laugh at the sight of Matt and Sylvie. She was dressed as a pregnant nun and Matt was dressed as the devil.

"That is the best costume ever," I laughed before giving Sylvie a hug.

"Look at you though. You managed to make pregnant look sexy," she exclaimed as I rolled my eyes.

"I'm just happy I've got someone else who isn't drinking tonight," I grinned as we clinked our mocktails.

"And we've got designated drivers," Kelly winked to Matt as the knocked beers, causing me to give my husband a dirty look.

"Better watch it Severide, otherwise this school girl isn't doing anything for you, professor."

"Alright, alright I'll behave!" He raised his hands in surrender.

"That's what I thought" I grinned before turning to Sylvie, "Even after 3 kids and tears of being together, sex is always a good negotiation tactic."

"God you two are something."

"We try."
