"Welcome back, Mrs. Severide," teased Gabby as I walked into the firehouse.

Kelly and I took a week off after the wedding to have a honeymoon. We went to Florida and it was absolutely beautiful. Ember stayed with Matt and Gabby which I really appreciated.

"Thanks Gabby," I grinned, "It's nice to be back."

"Did Kelly not nail the honeymooning?" she teased and I rolled my eyes.

"He did. I was just nervous about Ember. It was the first time we left her with anyone for more than a few hours. It just makes me nervous with making sure she gets all her meds and everything. I'm glad she was with you and Matt. There's not many others I would trust."

"It was great. We had a lot of fun. It kind of got Matt and I thinking about having kids ourselves."

"Awe. You guys would have the cutest babies."

"We totally would, but since my issues with my last pregnancy and the miscarriage, I'm nervous. It was hard going through that."

"Well maybe you should go see a fertility specialist and get everything checked out. Then go from there."

"Yeah, that's what I'm thinking of doing."

"Good. You deserve to have a family."

"Thanks," smiled Gabby, before waving her hands a bit, "Lets talk about something else. You and Kelly doing anything fun soon?"

"Yeah! We're actually going to take Ember to her first Blackhawks game in the next few weeks."

"Awe! That'll be so much fun!"

"Yeah, Kelly's excited. He already bought her a baby jersey."

Just then Kelly walked through the kitchen with his coffee cup in hand. Since we had taken time off, he had some paperwork to catch up on. Once he got more coffee, he came and stood next to the couch.

"Hey babe," he smiled, pressing a kiss to the top of my head, "What are you guys talking about?"

"I was telling Gabby how we're taking Ember to her first hockey game in a few weeks," I told him.

"Oh yeah! It's going to be awesome. I can't wait."

Gabby and I chuckled at his excitement.

"How's the paper work going?"

"Almost done. I'm hoping we aren't too busy today, so I don't have to do overtime to get these papers done. That way we can still have movie night tonight."

"You do what you gotta do babe."

Just then my cell phone started ringing. I slipped my phone out of pocket and saw it was the daycare calling. I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion as I answered.

"Hello?"

"Is this Corinthia Severide?"

"Yes."

"Hi. It's Ms. Lindsay from the daycare center. Ember has developed a fever, and our sick policy states that she can't be here if she has a fever. I'm sorry for the inconvenience."

"What's her temperature at?"

"100.8," answered Ms. Lindsay, "Plus she wouldn't eat this morning and hasn't really wanted to play with the other kids. I know with her heart condition these things are more important, so I called you right away."

"Thank you Lindsay. I'm on my way now."

I said goodbye by jumping off the couch.

"What's wrong?" asked Kelly.
