JAXSON
I knew Alena was upset from last night's conversation. I knew she badly wanted to go with us, but I couldn't help worrying about my baby girl. I know she has trained hard and 1I can see her mother in her every time she fights but I still worry. I will do anything to protect her. I know she is not my daughter by blood but god I wish she was.
Her being human scares the hell out of me. It scared me when Alessia was human and this is worse. She is my daughter. Over the years, we've gotten intel about threats against her. Her more than any of our other children. We have had rouges, hunters and even other packs target her. To them, she is our weak link. They just don't even know; she is stronger than any of them imagined.
When choosing her detail, Alessia and I were very careful. We had to make sure those we chose were loyal and would put their lives on the line for her. Every so often, Alessia would go inside their heads and make sure their loyalties haven't changed. Over the years, we have had to remove two because their thoughts were questionable. Something happened or changed that their views were concerning. Neither gave a good enough explanation so they were relieved from their duties and they chose to leave the pack. All security measures were changed for added protection. I couldn't have two ex-warriors running around knowing how things work.
This morning during training. Alena surprised the hell out of me. I know she knew how to defend herself and fight but the fierce force of power coming from her, I've never seen it before. She put everything into it and nearly kicked my ass. My ego and wolf took a little hit but the amount of pride I felt was indescribable. That was one of the most intense moments of being a father. So intense that when I got home, the kids went to get dressed, I sat Alessia down to describe what I just witnessed.
"She's ready. She wants to go, and she proved that today. You should have seen her! It was amazing. Baby, she is fifteen and she fought like a grown ass she wolf. The amount of force, she fought like a fierce warrior. I was so proud and maybe a little sore." I said. I felt tears build up in my eyes at the thought of my little girl growing up, but I quickly blinked them away and took a deep breath.
"I do agree with you, but I don't think she should go to the packs that are on the top of the list. I don't know what we are walking into, so I don't want to walk in with my child who they are all gunning for." Alessia said.
We discussed the plan to have Alena travel with us. Of course, we will keep the plan to ourselves until it is necessary to tell her detail.
All we had to do was tell Alena. The look on her face was priceless.
"We will be gone when you get home, but we will call you every night and keep you updated on what's going on. Do not tell anyone the plans." Alessia said. She nodded.
After we said our goodbyes and the kids left for school with Emily and Jake, Alessia and I started loading up the car. We are traveling with Jessica, Luca and Thomas along with 25 of our strongest warriors. Technically we don't need anyone to come with us because Alessia can handle it on her own but it's always good to have extra eyes and hands everywhere, so we aren't blindsided. It will give her some time that she can relax instead of always having her guard up.
Thomas and Jessica are there because they will be the ones who go through the paperwork and files when we get to the different packs. They are very well acquainted with everything so it should go by fast. We aren't trying to stay away from home too long.
The first several packs are the ones who are more of a risk because they are the ones who are completely against Alessia. They would love nothing more to see her fall. I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't try anything. The best part of this whole thing is they don't know we are coming. I'm sure once we start showing up at different packs, word will get around and they will be scrambling to get things in order but that's hard to do because nobody knows the details of our trip. Jessica is the only one who knows what names are on the list. Once we set a course, we will be telling the driver of our vehicle and everyone else is going to follow.
Once we get on pack land, we aren't required to get permission to enter. Alessia will compel them to open the gates and we will drive in. Seeing us enter with ten black SUVs, I'm sure some will want to shit themselves.
We are all in the car and we're driving all day. We will be stopping before we get into pack lands and staying at a hotel because we don't want to show up at night.
During the trip, let's just say Alessia and Jessica are the worst at long car rides. We've stopped more times than I would like because they needed a break to stretch or use the bathroom. They are both in the back seat finally sleeping. They complain so much.
"Jax, we need to stop. I have to go to the bathroom." Alessia said.
"Can't you wait a little while longer, we are almost there?" I said.
"Do you realize after having so many children plus being pregnant, my bladder doesn't work right anymore. I can't hold it in because I will pee on myself!" Alessia yelled at me.
I looked in my rear-view mirror and saw Jess nodding her head agreeing with her. I looked over at Lucas in the passenger seat and he was shaking his head. Well that means we're stopping because if she does pee on herself, I'm dead.
As it started to get dark, we arrived at the hotel. We all checked in and took our keys and went to our designated rooms. After getting settled, we went downstairs to the restaurant to get something to eat before going to bed. We must get up early tomorrow. We have roughly 45 minutes to drive before arriving on pack lands.
We will be going to Dark Shadow Pack. It is Alpha's Conner Dunn's pack. He has a 19-year-old son but has refused to give up his title to him. He craves power and abuses his position. It's been reported that he uses his omegas as slaves. He and the rest of his pack treat them very poorly. They have been living in less than adequate living conditions.
Since Alessia has become Queen, she has banned such treatment. Apparently, Conner thinks he's above the law. I can't wait for what's in store for him.
