Chapter 11

JAXSON

We left Dark Shadow Pack two days ago and arrived at Blood Moon Pack. Since we have Alpha Bullock in custody, they have been in chaos because they don't know what to do. Being without an alpha, the pack will fall apart.

When we entered the territory, there were no guards on patrol. We made it all the way to the pack house without anyone questioning us. People from the pack were scattered around, very nervous about why we were there.

We all walked into the pack house and stood at the door, waiting for someone to greet us but nobody did. Finally, a warrior who I recognized in the attack walked from down the hall and noticed us. He came up to us and bowed.

"Where is your Beta and the rest of all you higher rank?" I asked.

"Your Majesty, they are in the conference room, I can take you there if you wish." He said and I nodded my head.

He escorted us down the hall past several offices before he opened the door to where everyone was seated. Once the door opened, everyone looked up. Clearly, they can feel the power that was there.

Those that were standing, dropped to one knee and bowed while the ones sitting, quickly got up and lowered themselves.

"Your Majesty. Welcome to Blood Moon. My name is Jeffery Hannon, I'm the Beta of this pack. How can we be of assistance to you?" He said. He kept his head down and didn't make any attempt to look up.

"We are here for two reasons. First, to make sure that this pack has an alpha now that Jason Bullock is no longer in charge and because we are touring different packs to make sure laws are being followed and the packs are being treated correctly." Alessia said.

Alessia instructed everyone to get up and sit in their seats. They all did as commanded and waited for her to speak.

"Why is nobody working patrols? Why is it that we made it all the way in here and not one person questioned us?" She asked while looking at the beta.

"My apologies my queen, since word was spread about what happened with our Alpha, everyone panicked. They were more concerned about their own families than going to work. We are here today, trying to find a solution to fixing the problems that have occurred since then." Beta Jeffery said.

"Call a pack meeting now. Have everyone outside the pack house in 5 minutes." I said.

I watched him mind link his pack. He nodded his head stating it's done. Alessia and I got up with everyone following us outside. We watched as people were coming out of the pack house and out of their homes, heading towards us. They all stood in front of us. This was a large pack. It's only smaller than ours by just a couple hundred people and they have a strong army of warriors. Bullock prided himself on his army. He was very strict. He had his warriors constantly training to be stronger and could easily dominate over any pack.

Before Alessia became queen, even though I was the strongest of all, Blood Moon was considered the most ruthless of all. If ever a war broke out between us, it would have been a great loss. Many would have died. Thankfully, I never had any issues with them.

"Hello everyone, I called everyone here because we have the great pleasure of having King Jaxson and Queen Alessia here today. They have come to answer any of your questions about what has happened and what's to come along with naming a successor as alpha until young Christopher is of age." Beta Jeffery said as he stepped to the side.

"Hello everyone. As you are all aware, Jason Bullock decided to gather his warriors and attack Dark Shadow Pack and the Royal Pack warriors hoping to defeat our queen. Of course, that did not happen. Some unfortunately died or others were severely injured, and many warriors and Bullock have been taken into custody.

For those that died, we sincerely send our condolences to their families. This should have never happened and every life that was taken that day, we are deeply sorry for your loss. We strive for peace and safety and that's why we are here.

For those who have been taken into custody, every one of them will stand trial and according to that, an appropriate punishment will be given. If you are the family of one of those in custody, please feel free to come to me later and I'll give you the information you need regarding them.

Now, we are also here because we have been told that certain laws have not been followed. People within the pack, mostly omegas, have been treated poorly. That will not be tolerated. Regardless of rank, nobody is to be treated unfairly. After this meeting, I want all omegas to report inside for questioning." I stated and Alessia stepped forward.

"Like my husband said. We are here to appoint an alpha who is going to guide this pack to be the best it could be until Christopher is of age. We are all about safety. I don't want to see anyone being treated poorly just because they are below anyone else. Everyone deserves to live in peace without having to worry about being beaten and abused. Everyone deserves to be paid for their work. The money the pack earns, will go back into the pack to make it better. Houses will be fixed. Programs will be set up to help those in need.

I know everyone here is aware of my abilities. I'm sure you have all heard what I did during the attack. I did that to prevent those of you who were there from dying. For the warriors from the other pack from dying. I'm in charge of everyone and the last thing I want is that. I don't care what others have told you about me. I'm telling you now, I'm here because I want to help. My reason for not coming sooner is because I didn't know what you all were going through. People I put in charge to report back to me lied and that's on me. I'm here to fix it and promise to never blindly ignore you again. You all will be given a number to contact us in the future for any reason you think might need our attention and everything said will remain confidential. Nobody will be punished for speaking up." Alessia stated.

Once she finished speaking, everyone cheered loudly. You could see the hope in some people's eyes that change was finally coming. I put my arms around her waist and gave her a hug.

After the pack meeting, we went inside to continue our meeting. All the omegas gathered inside. There were some disturbing things discovered but as of today, that will change.

Since arriving, we have been going through things. Bullock's heir is too young. Being only ten years old, his son Chris isn't old enough to run the pack, but he does hold a threat to whoever is chosen to be interim alpha. Being only temporary, whoever is given the power of Alpha will lose it when the child becomes of age. If something were to happen to the child, there would no longer be a threat to him, and that person would remain alpha.

We must choose someone who is willing to train this boy to be an alpha, take him under his wing like he was his child and protect him. Of course, we will keep an eye on things to make sure this is taken very seriously because we don't want him getting hurt or killed plus we need someone who is going to guide him in the right direction to be a good alpha.

Our first choice is the beta, but we want to be 100% sure he is qualified for it. Working under Bullock, we need to see what kind of leader he will be. So far, Alessia assured me that he didn't agree with everything Bullock did but followed orders.

He's going to go through extensive questioning and trials to make sure nothing gets missed.

As we finish up for the day, we head to our room. I know Alessia is getting tired and antsy about being away from home. We both miss our kids so much. I can't wait to settle down so we can call them to hear their voices.
