Chapter 35

ALESSIA

Last night we had the ceremony at Blood Moon Pack. We swore in the Alpha, Beta, Third and Head warrior. The pack seemed happy, and everyone had a fun time. After they swore an oath to their pack and to me as their queen, it was time for the party to start. They danced, drank, and gathered together, enjoying the tons of food. Everyone stayed out late into the night under the bright moon and stars. It couldn't have been any better.

Alena was dancing with Damon. Jaxson couldn't help himself by interrupting and asking her to dance. Watching them, she smiled up at her dad with great admiration. I love watching them. I had the chance to dance with Jace, it was a rare moment where he wasn't embarrassed to be seen with his mom in an intimate moment. He gracefully led me across the floor. It was enough to get his dad's attention. Jaxson watched us, smiling.

Alena and Damon spent the entire evening together and I'm shocked that Jaxson behaved himself. He did glare a few times when Damon got too close to her but I'm proud of the control he displayed.

Aryanna also danced with her dad. It didn't last too long because she was crushing on the young alphas. Of course, Jaxson was in his feelings about it. If you think his sour mood is bad watching Alena, you should see him with Aryanna. He's definitely not ready for her to date. I pity the boy who gets the chance.

Jake and Thomas had the same feelings as Jaxson. Us females could only laugh. They are impossible. What kills me is when Jace danced with a young girl, the look they gave him held so much pride. Sexist assholes. Please tell me what the difference is because there shouldn't be any. Jace is the same age as Aryanna. Why is it ok for him but not for her? That will be an argument for another day.

We are now all finishing up packing and loading the cars. Jake and Emily are taking the twins back to our pack. I'm going to miss them, but they are safer at home. Besides Micah is running our pack while they are here and that's a lot for him to deal with along with his own pack.

Alena and the other young alphas will be traveling with us. I thought about sending them home since she is recovering but when I brought up the idea to her, she flipped out. She wants to continue with us and promised to take care of herself and not disappear. She's going to stay close, so we don't have a repeat. I can't bear the thought of those assholes coming after her again.

Loading the final bag, everyone got in. It's going to be interesting because Alena is in the car with us, and Damon is sitting in the far back next to her. Jaxson is sitting right in front of him. Thomas is driving with a guard in the passenger seat. I can feel the tension from all of them. All I could do was smile and shake my head.

Before we went outside, he protested. He wanted Damon to be in the car with the other alphas, but Alena looked at him with her puppy dog eyes and he caved. It's his own fault.
We all got in and started driving away. Jaxson looked at them and paused. He tilted his head up, closed his eyes, and took a deep breath.

"Can you please put some space between both of you? You have all that room, why do you have to be touching?" He huffed.

I turned around and saw them sitting side by side. Their bodies touched from their shoulders to their knees. Alena rolled her eyes at her father.

"Daddy, we aren't doing anything." She said.

"Good. I need to see some space, or I can switch places with him, and you can cuddle all you like." He said. He gave her this smile that made you want to slap him.

When we finally arrived, I was so happy to get out of the car. There was no drama, but the tension was still there. They were surprised to see us. They are a smaller pack so they didn't think we would come, but I plan to stop at every pack on my way. I want to know as much as possible and the only way for me to do that is to see it for myself. This is going to be more of a common thing from now on, I'm going to visit more often but hopefully after I get them in order this time, the next trips won't last as long. I will be able to make short visits and be able to go home between them.

Within an hour of arriving, we had a pack meeting. Everyone had their chance to express their concerns and speak freely. Luckily, we didn't have to remove their alpha. From what we saw, and the pack members said, there were only minor issues that we had to work through.
After the pack meeting, we stayed available to anyone who wanted to speak privately. We watched everyone interact. They respected their alpha. While observing the surroundings, I noticed things needed upgrading. Some of the homes were slightly worn down and buildings need to be painted.

The next day, we spent going through paperwork. Lucas observed how the warriors trained. I have Alena speak with the younger pack members and see if there is anything they want to say but are too scared to say to me. She is going to also interact with the omegas and see how they are treated. They aren't going to freely speak so I need for them to feel comfortable. I don't plan on staying long. I want to sort through everything and move on.

"How are things going?" I asked Jessica.

"It's not bad. It looks like they have most things in order. My only concern is the pack's income. The pack is required to support themselves. If things need to be fixed, they have to do it on their own." She said.

I mind linked Jaxson to bring Alpha Morris to the conference room. As I looked at the financial reports, the door opened, and they walked in.

"Please take a seat." I said.

He sat down across from me. He looked nervous. As I watched him, I took a look into his thoughts. He's heard about what I've done with the previous two alphas and he's not sure how I'm going to react towards him. He's questioning if I'm going to remove him from his pack because I don't agree with the way he runs things. I'm going through his mind; I don't see anything horrible. He doesn't treat his pack badly so he shouldn't have anything to worry about.
"Alpha, please relax. I assure you, what you're thinking isn't going to happen." I said. I watched him blow out a deep breath and lean back in his chair.

"I just wanted to discuss the pack's finances. We are looking through the reports and notice that you don't have enough income coming in. Why don't you have more investments to bring in a higher income? I can see the majority of your pack members have jobs outside the pack and support themselves. I mean, there is nothing wrong with them working but as alpha, the money made by the pack should assist in that." I said.

"Your majesty, I'm sure you are aware, I've been alpha for almost two years. I took over when I was seventeen when my father passed. I'm currently still in college to get a business degree. I've been working hard to get it done as soon as possible. I've left things the way my father ran things until I can get on my feet and successfully run my own businesses. I didn't want to push too fast and fail but I do know I have to do more for my pack. They are struggling to get by, and I know I need to do better." He said.

"When do you graduate?" I asked.

"I'm in the accelerated online program. If I stay focused and work hard like I've been doing, I should finish by the end of the year." He said.

"Congratulations. I have a business degree as well. Before I became Queen or even Luna, I worked as a financial consultant. I showed my clients how to invest, and where to put your money to get the most out of it. I was exceptionally good at my job and made those companies a lot of money. After you finish school, I want you to contact me, and we can work together so you can better your finances. As for now, I want you to write up a proposal on what it's going to cost for materials and labor and send it to me. I will give you a loan. Once you finish school and start making money, we can set up a payment plan." I said.

"Oh, I don't know what to say. Sorry. I mean, thank you. You aren't what I expected. The things they say about you, they aren't true. Thank you. I will get right on it. Oh my God, I'm embarrassing myself. I will get right on that. Thank you again." He said. We got up and I shook his hand before he left.

"Since he's so young and his father is dead, I want to also have him attend my pack for training. I don't want others to influence him. Given the chance, I believe he will make a good alpha and leader."
