"Nini what's going on? Please just talk to me" Ricky pleased as Nini stood at her locker taking out the books she'd need
Gina had early morning dance practice so the two wouldn't see each other until it was lunch time.
Nini's heart was still hurt from finding out that Ricky went back to his old ways while the two were supposed to be together.
She scoffed closing her locker and walking away from Ricky as fast as she could. Her heart was beating out of her chest because she didn't have the heart to break things off with him.
That's what scared her
Ricky caught up with Nini and grabbed her arm pulling her into the janitors closet making sure no one was watching. It was the closest thing to privacy that they'd have.
"Don't touch me!" Nini raised her voice snatching her arm out of Ricky's grip, and crossing both of them over her chest.
She avoided his gaze as she felt tears fill her eyes, but she refused to let them fall.
"Nini what's going on? You can't just shut me out. Why are you acting so cold towards me?" He took a step towards Nini, and she responded taking a step back almost as if she was scared of him.
Pain quickly flashed over Ricky's eyes but left as quickly as it came. Nini noticed the change in his eyes,but she couldn't feel sorry for him. He had cheated on her.
She wasn't scared at Ricky at all, in fact she found comfort in the boy. What she was scared of is how she'd react to him.
Nini knows that Ricky makes her weak and as soon as she's in his grasp she can't think straight.
"Nini are you—are you scared of me?" Ricky asked in a hurt filled voice
"No im not scared of you Ricky. I just—I don't want to be around you right now" Nini said standing a safe distance away from Ricky. Her heart was pounding, and she couldn't get rid of the hurt she was feeling.
"Nini what happened? You just started acting so cold with me and I don't understand why. We were doing so good, please just talk to me"
"I-" Nini started but the school bell rang interrupting her "I have to get to class" ninu clutched her bookbag in her hands and exited the janitor closet finally letting her tears fall.
Ricky didn't know what exactly was going on or why Nini was acting this way, but he really needed to find out.

"Hey Andrew" nini smiled as she took a seat at the table. Andrews shift just ended and they agreed to meet as friends
"Hey Nini" Andrew smiled "how have you been?"
"I've been good" Nini lied. It seemed like her entire life was blowing up right in her face, and there was nothing she could do about it. "How about you?"
"Pretty good. I've been picking up extra shifts so I've been keeping myself busy"
"That's good" Nini said before an awkward silence fell among the two
"Look" "Look"
They both chuckled lightly avoiding each other's gaze
"You go first" he told her
"Okay, um well I've been wanting to get a job for a while now, just to have a little money in my pocket and I was wondering if you could help me get a job here" Nini said hopefully.
She'd been looking for jobs for a while but it wasn't anything serious, but after she found out about Ricky bringing those other girls over she figured it'd be good for her to keep her mind off everything and keep herself busy.
"Of course! I'd love for you to work here so I can talk to my manager for you if you want"
"Yes! That'd be perfect." Nini smiled "oh! What did you want to talk about?"
"Oh i-" Andrew started but was interrupted with Nini's phone ringing. There was a contact picture of Nini kissing Ricky's cheek with the contact name 'Bubs🥺💕' and he took notice of it.
Nini silenced the call not wanting to hear from Ricky at the moment "sorry about that. What were you saying?"
"Oh—it was nothing important really. Was that your Uh boyfriend?"
"Calling me?" Nini asked and Andrew nodded "oh no, we'll it's kind of complicated" Nini admitted to the boy, and Andrew simply nodded
"Complicated?" He asked
"Yeah, I'm kind of mad at him right now" Nini chuckled slightly "both of us really like each other but there are a bunch of things that stand in our way. I'm just—I'm not sure if we're meant to be together right now"
"Well if you two are meant to be together it'll happen. No matter what obstacles or challenges come between the two of you, you'll work through it" he sans and Nini smiled slightly.
She just didn't know how she could bring herself to forgive Ricky.
Nini's phone buzzed on the table and she picked it up seeing it was from an unknown number

"Who—" Nini whispered to herself as her heart rate began to increase. There was only one person that she could think would possibly do this.
Nini grabbed her things frantically off the table needing to get to the bottom of this as soon as possible.
"Nini what's wrong is everything okay?" Andrew asked nervously. The girls mood noticeably shifted after she read the text instantly alarming the boy.
"Yeah I-just-I gotta go" she said and rushed out of the doors into her car.
She stuck the key into the ignition, but it wouldn't turn so the car wouldn't start. Nini hit the wheel angrily before fiddling with the key a little more hoping the car would start.
After a while the car finally started and sighed in relief leaving the Starbucks parking lot.
After arriving at the destination she left the car angrily slamming the door. She used the key that was given to her to let herself in.
"Ricky!" She yelled as she opened the door to his room. "Explain this!" She held the phone up to his face.
"Nini I-"
