"You know you can talk to me right Gi" Ej asked as the two of them stood at her locker. Ej noticed the girl staring at Nini's locker obviously trying to hold her tears in.

"Yeah, I know. There's nothing to talk about" Gina plastered a fake smile onto her face

"Gi, you don't have to be strong around me. You don't have to act like everything is okay. Because I know you're not"

"I just—I can't do this here Ej, not now" Gina admitted

"Come with me then" ej held his hand out, and Gina reluctantly took it as he led her outside.

He guided her through the parking lot of the school until they reached his car. He opened the door for Gina before running around to the drivers side.

"Where are we going?"

"Nowhere until you're honest with me. Gi I know that there's a lot going on, and you can't just walk around like everything's fine and dandy. At least not with me."

"I just—she hasn't woken up yet ej. It's been two days and she hasn't waken up. What if she doesn't?" Gina whispered the last part letting a few tears slip from her eyes.

"Nini is strong Gi. She'll pull through" ej said trying his best to cheer his girlfriend up. The entire situation was unfortunate and the only thing he could really do at the moment, was be there for her.

"Yeah, but what if she doesn't? The last thing that I said to her was to stay away from me forever. What if she doesn't make it, and she thinks that I hate her? I don't hate her I was just so hurt"

"She knows that you love her gi. You two were friends for forever and I know that she knows that you love her. It couldn't have been easy finding out about them, and she knows that"

"I hope you're right" Gina wiped the tears that has fallen from her eyes.

"Now cheer up. I'm gonna go get you the strawberry banana smoothie that you like" Ej kissed the girls forehead before starting the car.

"Thanks babe. I don't know what I did to deserve you" Gina chuckled lightly before Ej flashed her a smile before pulling off.

"Ricky" Kourtney shook the boy awake

"Hmm?" He said sleepily

"Has she shown any progress today? Anything new happen?" She asked

"No" he sighed "the doctors say that there's no telling when she'll wake up, but I can't leave her here alone. The thought of her waking up to an empty hospital room keeps me from going anywhere"

"What about her parents?" Kourtney asked

"Apparently meetings and money are more important than their daughter. When Gina finally got ahold of them they said they couldn't make it down here. The meetings were just too important?" Ricky said angrily at the thought

"Are you serious?" Kourtney asked and the boy nodded

"We're all she has. We're all she needs" Ricky said looking at the girl.

"I'm going to go get something from the cafeteria. Do you want anything?" Kourtney asked knowing the boy probably hadn't eaten. They only time he left Nini alone was when Gina was there.

And when he wasn't there, he was out trying to figure out who did this to her. Ricky's entire life revolved around Nini and sometimes he forgot to take the necessary care of himself.

"Sure, anything will be fine" Ricky offered her a soft smile and Kourtney nodded before heading down to the cafeteria.

Not long after Kourtney left, Gina walked in and examined Nini sadly. She frowned at the way that Nini looked the same as she did last time she was there which meant no progress.

"She's gonna be okay you know? She's gonna pull through. It's just a matter of when it'll happen"

"You really think so?"

"Yeah, do you remember that time that she fell off her bike? She had scratches all on her arms, her knees, and her elbows. Everyone wanted to help her. Put a few band-aids on all those scratches, and get her back home but she said no. She was going to conquer that bike and keep going"

"Yeah I remember that. I though she was crazy for getting back on that death trap" Gina chuckled "I still don't know how to ride a bike"

"There's still time to learn"

"For me? Nah it's too late for me" Gina laughed slightly

"She'll pull through Gi. I know she will" Ricky said and Gina nodded slightly

"What if she doesn't want to talk when she wakes up? What if she hates me for everything that I said to her? I called her a number Ricky. I called her useless, and I called her delusional. If I were her, I'd hate me"

"All she's been talking about for the past week is figuring out how to get you to forgive her. I can promise you that she doesn't hate you Gi. She knows how much she loves you and she's gonna be so happy to see you when she wakes up" Ricky said pulling his little sister into a hug. "And I know I didn't tell you this before, but I'm sorry for sneaking behind your back with Nini. I knew she was your best friend and that you didn't want her with me, but I promise I always had good intentions when it came to her. I'd never hurt her"

"I know. I just—Nini was the only person that I had to myself. That I knew loved me for me and wasn't always worried about you and what you're doing. It's just hard to know that I lost that"

"You didn't though Gi. Nini has been your best friend forever and the fact that we're together doesn't change that. She loves you for you and there's nothing you can do to change that."
Ricky szn and the girl nodded realizing that he was right "She just might love me a little more" he joked

"Shut uppp" Gina laughed and lightly slapped Ricky's chest "thanks Ricky. It means a lot" she smiled

"Here's your food Ricky—oh hey Gina" Kourtney said as she entered the room

"Hey Kourt" Gina smiled

"Thank you Kourtney" Ricky said as he took the food into his hands.
