Nini woke up with a smile on her face thinking about how perfect everything was the night before.

She looked over to see Ricky sleeping, and smiled at the site. The way his nose crinkled when he took a breath in was so adorable and he looked so at peace with everything.

She softly grazed her hand across his cheek, and a soft smile played across the boys lips.

"Good morning beautiful" he said huskily in his morning voice.

"Morning" Nini giggled, and shyly brought her hands to her face trying to hide her blush

"Why are you hiding" Ricky chuckled bringing Nini's hands down

"I-I don't know"

"I like seeing you blush you know. I like that I have that effect on you"

"Yeah, and you do it a lot too" Nini playfully rolled her eyes

Ricky chuckled as he got out the bed. "I'm gonna get ready then go get us some breakfast. I'll be back"

Nini nodded before checking her phone for any new notifications that she may have received.

After Ricky finished in the bathroom, Nini went in to get ready herself.

"I'll be back Neens. If you need anything just text me" he told her and she nodded, but he was sure she wouldn't need anything. This wasn't her first time staying there

On his way out he ran into Gina.

"Oh hey Ricky" Gina smiled "how was the party?"

"Party?" Ricky asked unsure of what Gina was talking about

"Yeah, Nini said she was going to a party and you were going too—"

"Oh yeah! I was uh really drunk so I don't really remember much. I was just on my way to get some food so I can have something on my stomach" Ricky attempted to cover up.

"Ricky you don't drink. What's going on here? You two have been super weird lately and—" Gina crossed her arms over her chest

"Calm down Gi" Ricky laughed nervously but was able to cover it really well. "It's just been a lot on my mind so I had a few drinks. It's nothing for you to worry about. Last night was a blur but I remember Nini was sober and she brought me back home"

"Oh...okay" Gina looked at the boy skeptically "if you need to talk, you know I'm here" she told him and he nodded

"I know Gi" he smiled

"Wait—so where's Nini?"

"I think she took an Uber home or something. I'm honestly not sure, she didn't say anything before leaving"

"Okay" Gina said before heading off to her room. After Gina was out of his sight Ricky took a breath of relief, and headed out the door.

After Gina settled in her room she took her phone out, and FaceTimed Nini.

When Nini saw the FaceTime call she started to panic. Her heart rate increased and she tried to brainstorm an idea, and fast.

She always answers Gina's phone calls, so she couldn't just ignore the call, and let it ring.

Nini answered the FaceTime call and immediately turned her camera off. Ricky's room was way too easily identifiable.

"Nini? Why'd you turn the camera off?" Gina pouted slightly

"Oh—its it's dark in my room. I'm having a really bad hangover" Nini lied hoping that it'd sound believable

"You're having a hangover?"

"Y-yeah"

"Ricky said you didn't drink—something about the two of you isn't adding up. Nini be honest with me because it's pretty obvious that one of you are lying to me"

"N-no he uh he was pretty drunk. And he probably didn't remember correctly. Both of us were pretty drunk so we called an Uber. And I asked one of his friends to drive his car back to your house" Nini said trying her best to hide the nervousness in her voice, but wasn't exactly sure how well it was working.

"Which of his friends Nini?"

"J-Jeremy" Nini said. Him being the first person that came to her mind

"Jeremy isn't even talking to Ricky right now. Something about Ricky stealing the girl he was interested in. I don't know what exactly"

"Y-yeah. Jeremy did it for me. I'm the one who asked him so he did it for me"

"Nini" Gina sighed "I really hope you're not lying to me. Something about all this just isn't adding up, but I'm going to trust you"

"I-I'm not lying to you Gi"

"Alright Nini. Come over later okay?"

"Ok. I'll talk to you then"

"I'll talk to you then ni" Gina spoke before ending the call.

Gina fell back onto her bed feeling like there was something off. She didn't want to doubt her best friend and her brother but things just weren't adding up.

Part of her knew that Nini wouldn't betray her by messing around with Ricky. She promised her that she wouldn't a while ago, and that promise was for Nini's own protection.

Gina saw Ricky break countless numbers of girls hearts and Gina couldn't let Nini be one of those girls. She knew that there were plenty of guys out there who were willing to treat Nini the way she deserves. Ricky just wasn't one of those guys.

The other part of Gina couldn't ignore the fact that things simply weren't adding up. After the house boat both Nini and Ricky began acting weird.

Nini stopped staying over as much, and Ricky started going out just scout every night. It seemed like the only nights he didn't go out were the nights that Nini actually stayed over.

Gina decided to brush everything off hoping that these things were simply a coincidence. She couldn't lose her best friend.

About 20 minutes after the phone call Ricky came back with the food for both him and Nini.

"Ricky you have to take me to my car" Nini whispered referring to the car they left at the park the night before. Both of them were exhausted after and figured they'd just pick her car up in the morning.

Plus it'd be weird if Nini's car was there overnight.

"But the food—"

"Ricky, Gina's on to us. I need to get my car and bring it over as soon as possible if I'm gonna stay here."

"What if she catches you sneaking out?"

"I heard her start the shower water like 5 minutes ago. She should be in the shower by now"

"Alright, alright. Grab your stuff" Ricky sat his food down reluctantly
