"What do you wanna do tonight? Pizza? Movie?" Gina asked as she sat on her bed opening her laptop

"It honestly doesn't matter to me" Nini said sitting back on Gina's beanbag chair playing with her nails "as long as I don't have to hear you and Ej being all coupley on the phone tonight"

"But Nini!" Gina whined. Her and Ej has a routine of calling each other every night. They'd fall asleep on FaceTime, and both of them loved it but when Nini was staying over it only made her feel like a third wheel because all of Gina's attention shifted to Ej

"Fine" Gina sighed "we gotta find you a boyfriend" Gina just so happened to say as Ricky was walking past her door. Awaiting Nini's response he backed up slightly so that he couldn't be seen through the crack of the door.

"Well..." Nini started with a slight smile

"Oh my god! Spill! Everything"

"There was this boy at Starbucks, I think his name was Andrew? He was pretty cute, and I think he liked me"

"Oh my god! Nini! Did you get his number or anything? You gotta give me the details" Gina excitedly said and Nini laughed

"Gi, it literally could be nothing" Nini laughed "I didn't get his number or anything but you know I go to Starbucks just about everyday, so hopefully I'll catch him there again"

"Let's go there! Right now. He could still be there Neens!" Gina said grabbing Nini's hand to get up and Nini started to laugh. At the sound of shuffling, Ricky rushed into the bathroom hoping they wouldn't be suspicious.

"Gi, his shift was this morning. I doubt he's still there. Plus I could be wrong and he could just be...friendly"

"Next time you go, you HAVE to ask for his number" Gina squealed. She was more invested in Nini's love life than Nini was herself.

"I'm not even sure if I'm ready for a relationship yet if we're being honest"

"Right, if you're not ready for one don't rush into anything, but if you like this Starbucks guy I say go for it" Gina said and Nini smiled.

What she really meant was she doesn't know if she's ready to move on from Ricky. She'd had a crush on him for forever and wasn't sure if she was ready to be with someone else.

"You hungry?" Gina asked and Nini nodded

"Yesss I'm starving"

"Alright I'm gonna order the pizza, and go pick it up in a few. Do you wanna come with me to pick it up?"

"I think I'd rather stay here and finish a few assignments" Nini said and Gina nodded looking up the number to the pizza place that wasn't too far from their house

"Ricky! Do you want pizza?" Gina said loud enough so that she could be heard in the next room.

"Yeah! You can get me the usual" he yelled back focusing his attention back on focusing his attention back on the book he was reading called Bad for my Image.

"Alright Nini I'll be right back" Gina said before leaving and Nini focused her attention back on the school assignments that she was trying to finish up.

She wanted to do much better in school than she did previous years so she was trying to get all her assignments done before she did anything else.

After Nini finished a few assignments she went to the kitchen to get a glass of water. When she got there she saw Ricky was standing in there drinking a cup of orange juice, and she chuckled seeing the container still out.

Gina was always yelling at him for leaving the container out yet he never learned.

"Well hello there Nina" Ricky said as she entered the kitchen. He knew she hated being called that, he just wanted to provoke her.

"Hi. Richard" Nini said before grabbing a cup filling it with water.

"I'm surprised you didn't go with Gi to go get the pizza"

"Not that it's any of your business, but I had a couple of assignments I wanted to finish up" she said, trying her best to seem like she didn't want to talk to him

"Why do you act like that?"

"Like what?"

"Like you don't like me, I know you do" he smirked and she froze for a split second not knowing how to respond to that. It was the truth, she liked him...a lot, but that's not exactly something she wanted him to know

"Yeah right, in your dreams Bowen" she said with a slight chuckle finally snapping back into reality

"Is it in my dreams? Or is it in yours" Ricky held the smirk on his face that made Nini just want to jump on him and attach her lips to his, but she knew she couldn't. She had to stay strong.

"Definitely yours"

"I think it's yours and I can prove it"

"And how are you gonna—" Nini started but was quickly interrupted by Ricky gripping her waist and pulling her close to him earning a gasp from her.

Their faces were inches apart and at the slightest movement of either of them, their lips would touch. Nini's breathing hitched as his grip on her waist tightened and he took one of his hands and grazed it across her cheek.

Nini's heart was racing and so was Ricky's. This was the closest she'd ever been to the boy and she wanted this for so long.

She looked into his big brown eyes with nothing but want and passion, and he looked at hers the same way, giving her some type of hope that there's a chance between her and Ricky

Ricky whispered in her ear "you're beautiful" before focusing his attention back on her eyes sending a quick shiver down her spine.

"See. I told you, you like me" Ricky said releasing his grip from her waist and taking a sip from his orange juice like nothing ever happened.

Nini was speechless. She didn't know how to respond to what just happened because it hadn't even fully registered in her brain what just happened.

"That's not even fair, you just uh you caught me by surprise" Nini said nervously just as Ricky was about to respond Gina burst through the doors

"I'm back with the pizzas" she said happily "what'd I miss?"

"Oh nothing, we were just talking" Ricky smiled before winking at Nini and leaving the kitchen which left her dumbfounded
