"Hi! I'm Nina Salazar Roberts, and I'm here for an interview" Nini put on the best fake smile that she could. No matter how much she tried to hide or deny it, the breakup was weighing on her, and it was weighing on her heavily."Let me go get my manager! You can take a seat at one of the seats over there and she should be out soon" the employee said and Nini nodded taking a seat
She pulled out her phone in an effort to get her mind off of the nerves that flowed through her body.
If this interview went well she could possibly have a new job at a place that she felt like she'd actually enjoy working at.
If the interview didn't go well it's just pile on top of everything that was going wrong in her life.
She wished Ricky could've given her more information than he did. Just saying that this person was dangers didn't give Nini enough context.
She felt like she should be able to decide whether she wants to take that risk or not. Her and Ricky made each other happy so why throw that away because someone else didn't want them together.
Nini was taken out of her thoughts when the manager of the Starbucks location sat in front of her at the table.
"Hi Nina! I'm Luna and I'm the manager here. You're here for an interview correct?"
"Yes. It's nice to meet you Luna" Nini greeted.
Nini looked to her side, and saw Andrew with the biggest smile on his face as he gave her a thumbs up. Nini flashed the boy a smile before focusing back on her interview.
"It's nice to meet you too Nina. I'm just gonna dive right in if you're ready" she said and Nini nodded "okay, so what do you think you could add to our team if you were to work here"
"I've been told by several people that I have an extremely positive outlook on life. Even when everything seems to be going wrong, I somehow find the positive in the situation, and I don't let the negatives bring me down. I think that would be extremely helpful to the team because I know that in customer service you're bound to have good and bad days. Looking for those positives is essential on those bad days and I could definitely help with that" Nini told Luna.
Luna nodded as she took down the important parts of what Nini said. "I agree Nina. I think that's very important, especially when working with food and drink of any kind. The next question is, why do you want to work here?"
"I've loved Starbucks for as long as I can remember, and there's so much creativity when it comes to creating different Starbucks drinks because the variety of flavors Starbucks provides. Keeping that in mind I really think Starbucks would be a great fit for me"
"And here it says you're available weekdays after school. Is that still correct?"
"Yes that's correct" Nini smiled
"Alright, do you have any questions for me?"
"Yes, what is your favorite part of working here?"
"Probably the sense of home that the place provides. Our team is one big family and we treat each other as such" Luna said and Nini nodded only feeling drawn to the job more.
"Well Nina, I think I've heard enough. I'm going to go ahead and hire you"
"Wait really!?" Nini exclaimed excitedly
"Yes, welcome to the team. We'll reach out to you for your orientation days and your start days"
"Thank you so much! You don't know how much I appreciate this" Nini said, and Luna nodded walking away.
