Ricky knocked on Lilys door ready to end this drama with Nini and her family once and for all.
He just wanted to be able to be with Nini without any drama following them.

It seems like everytime they took a step forward, something happened landing them three steps back.

"Coming!" He heard a voice from the other side of the door yell.

Ricky did his best to prepare himself for when she opened the door. He had to act like nothing was wrong. Like he wasn't upset about everything her and her family put the people he loves through.

All he needed was to get her on recording saying that she knew what her sister was planning against Nini. That would make her an accomplice to the crime and land her right in prison with her sister.

The girl answered the door with a black eye, a busted lip, multiple scratches on her face, and bruises covered her body. Ricky made a mental note to thank Gina when he sees her next.

"Oh hey Ricky" she tucked a piece of hair behind her ear "I really didn't want you to see me like this" she avoided eye contact.

"Look at me Lily" he placed his index finger on her chin and led her eyes to meet his. "You're beautiful regardless okay? I'm sorry for what my sister did." He lied

"Really?" She asked. A smile started to form on her lips at how sweet the boy was being to her.

Ricky was very convincing.

"Yeah. I mean, Nini kinda had it coming. The way she was so rude to you, it just didn't sit right with me"

"You'd say that about your own girlfriend?"

"I plan to break up with her really soon. I just don't want to do it while she's recovering you know? But I realized she's not the one for me" he told her, and she held onto each and every word that the boy was saying "you're the one for me Lily. Not Nini" he tucked a piece of hair behind her ear.

"Not that I'm complaining but what caused this sudden change? This sudden interest in me"

"I guess I've always known deep down but I tried to ignore it. I was in denial because me and Nini had been through so much."

"I knew you'd come to your senses eventually" she wrapped her arms around his neck excitedly and he hesitantly hugged her back.

"So do you wanna maybe watch a movie or something?" She asked and she smiled at him before nodding.

"Yeah.yeah. I'd love to, what movie did you have in mind?"

"You know we need to talk about what happened before the accident eventually right? We can't keep avoiding it Gi" Nini told the girl.

"So you noticed that I've been avoiding talking about it" Gina sighed

"I'm your best friend Gi, I know you better than you know yourself. I know that when you don't want to talk about something, you try to distract yourself from it." Nini said. "at least I was your best friend" she added

"You still are my best friend Nini." Gina took a seat next to Nini on the hospital bed "I know I reacted horribly when I found out about you and Ricky—"

"And you had every right to react that way. I hate that you found out that way" Nini interrupted

"I said somethings that I wish I could take back though Ni. The things I said to you weren't okay, and it shouldn't have taken for you to get hurt for me to realize that. I don't know what I'd do without you in my life Nini. You're my best friend and I can't lose you"
