"Oh my god Gina!" Nini exclaimed standing up and straightening herself out.

"What about her?" Ricky laughed as he watched the girl scramble around his room.

"I told her I was just going to the bathroom, and I've been gone for an hour now. I know shes wondering what's taking so long"

"Just tell her your stomach hurt or something" Ricky said before Nini looked in the mirror. Her jaw dropped at the display that the boy left on her.

"Ricky" Nini smiled walking towards him with a shirt in her hand "If.you.didn't.want.me.to.cover.these.why.did.you.leave.so.may" she said hitting him with his shirt between each word.

"I'm sorry" he laughed " but how was I supposed to keep myself from doing it when you look like that" Ricky said and Nini blushed slightly.

She raised her hands to her face trying to cover the blush that formed on her cheeks.

"Stop covering your blush around me. I like seeing you blush" Ricky smiled removing her hands from her cheeks.

"I'm still gonna kill your for this Ricky. Now I have to make up an excuse to tell Gina"

"You're a very smart girl Neens. I'm sure you'll come up with something" Ricky said and Nini grabbed the shirt again to lift it one more time and hit Ricky. Then turned around to exit the room. "What, I don't get a goodbye kiss?" Ricky smirked.

"Okay fine." Nini said before bending down to peck the boys lips but he quickly placed his hand around her neck deepening the kiss.

Nini began to melt into him, and the next thing she knew she was straddling him.

"No no nope nope nope no" Nini said lifting herself off of him

"What's wrong?"

"We're not doing this again. I've already been gone long enough. She's gonna come looking for me soon"Nini said straightening out her clothes once again.

"Come on, five more minutes wouldn't hurt" Ricky grabbed her waist and pulled her back to sit down next to where he was laying

"I can't" she pecked just lips "we can pick this up later though" she said before getting up and walking out of his room.

She walked into the bathroom, and threw a few curls into her hair with Gina's straightener that she left in the bathroom.

"Oh Nini finally you're back—what happened to your neck??" Gina exclaimed after taking a look at the girl.

Ricky left way too many marks for it to go unnoticed , and she told him that she wouldn't cover them up this time so she was stuck S

"Nina Salazar Roberts time of death 11:45pm on October 7,2021" Nini thought

"Turns out doing curls in your hair with a straightener is a lot harder than it looks" Nini chuckled

"You did all that with a hair straightener?" Gina asked and Nini nodded " why didn't you just ask me for help? And why are you curling your hair so late at night?"

"I wanted to try and do it myself, and I know I'm not going to want to do it in the morning so I'm just gonna pin it up tonight"

"Oh—okay. Be more careful next time Nini. If I didn't know any better I'd think they were hickeys" Gina laughed and Nini joined her laughing nervously.

"That's crazy Gi"

"So what'd you tell her?" Ricky asked the girl. They were currently at school and Nini was at her locker trading her books out.

"That I ran into a bunch of mosquitoes outside, and they're the rare type that leave marks instead of bumps" Nini said sarcastically

"Wait mosquitoes actually—"

"No Ricky" Nini laughed "I told her that I burned myself with a hair straightener"

"Ahhh the classic"

"I wouldn't have had to make anything up if you didn't go to crazy town on my neck" Nini hit Ricky with her pencil case.

"Okay you gotta stop doing that, they're actually starting to hurt"

"Good" Nini smiled "do you even think we should be talking right now? I mean what if someone sees and—"

"We're just talking Neens calm down." Ricky laughed "there's no rule or anything saying we can't just have a conversation at school plus Gina is at dance practice. We have nothing to worry about"

"I know but I feel like those girls are looking at me weird" Nini shifted uncomfortably

"They're just mad that I don't mess with them anymore. After that entire movie theatre incident I cut everyone off"

"And I'm oh so very proud of you." She smiled "speaking of the movie theatre incident" Nini said and hit him with her pencil pouch again.

"Ouch! What was that for?"

"I can't watch five feet apart without thinking of it because of you. And I love that movie"

"I'm sorry okay? But I told Jeremy not to go after you and he did anyway. He had it coming"

"Ricky" Nini warned

"What can I say? I'm protective over the people that I love"

"Wait, tell me that you love me again"

"I love you?" Ricky said more like a question than a statement

"Not like a question you weirdo" Nini said

"I love you Nini. So much"

"I love hearing you say that" Nini smiled "and I love you too." Nini said and the bell for class rang disrupting their conversation.

"I'll see you after school?" He asked and she nodded heading off to her first period class.

"I still don't know what he sees in you" Nini heard a voice say with disgust laced in their tone. Nini knew who it was immediately

"What's your obsession with me Lily. Like seriously"

"I just want to know what Ricky sees in you. I mean you don't have anything I don't"

"You can have Ricky Lily! I don't want him, and I never had him in the first place so please by all means, go for it" Nini said fully confident that if Lily actually went for Ricky, he'd only shoot her down.

"What's that on your neck Nini? Didn't make an effort to cover them up this time?"

"My neck is none of your business. If you're gonna go after Ricky, do it and leave me alone. Got it?"

"Whatever"
