Nini sighed as she sat at the lunch table next to Ricky. She rested her head on his shoulder and he placed his arm around on her back attempting to comfort her.

It'd been a week since Gina found out about them and she was still giving them the cold shoulder. Nini attempted to talk to her everyday, but nothing seemed to work.

"Still nothing?" Ricky asked his girlfriend.

"No" she frowned "I understand why she's upset but she has to understand that I didn't do this to hurt her. I was trying to protect her."

"I know. She'll come around eventually. She has to, you're her best friend and you have been since forever" Ricky tried to comfort the girl. She'd been down since Gina found out but that was understandable considering how close the two girls were.

"Has she talked to you yet?"

"No. But she gives me dirty looks everytime we're at home. That's when she's actually home. She's at Ej's most of the time"

"Do you ever regret what we did? Getting together and hiding it from her? I mean, it was my idea to hide it from her. Do you blame me for all this?"

"Of course not Neens. I honestly think she's overreacting. If both of us are happy isn't that what should matter to her? And I've never been as happy as I am with you. I wouldn't take it back for the world. I love you" Ricky told the girl and placed a kiss on her cheek earning a smile from her.

"I love you too" Nini laid her head on the boy's shoulder as she tried to keep her mind off of the situation at hand.

The two had several eyes on them. Some were looks of jealousy from other girls, some were looks of confusion considering what Ricky was known for, and some were looks of adoration.

Gina walked by and Nini lifted her head from Ricky's shoulder hoping to talk to the girl, but wasn't able to. Gina scoffed and walked off before she was able to get a word out.

Nini sighed in defeat before placing her head back on Ricky's shoulder.

"Well, well, well. If it isn't the two lovebirds" Lily walked up to Nini and Ricky making both of them roll their eyes

"This isn't the time Lily" Ricky said obviously uninterested in the girl.

"No, it's okay baby" Nini said sitting up slightly. "She wants a show, we'll give her a show" Nini said cupping her hand on Ricky's cheek. She looked into his eyes briefly before placing a kiss on his lips that intensified pretty quickly.

"Ugh" Lily scoffed before walking off with her posse following her.

After she was gone Nini pulled away from the kiss smiling slightly in victory.

"Did you just use me to make Lily jealous?"

"I-"

"Because in that case I like getting used by you. I liked being used by you a lot" Ricky said before placing another kiss on Nini's lips earning a giggle from the girl.

"Gi please, just listen to what I have to say" Nini tried to catch up with the girl who was currently speed walking away from her

Gina sped up hoping Nini would get the message and leave her alone, but as Gina increased her speed so did Nini.

"So you're just willing to throw six years of friendship down the drain because I made a mistake? We've been best friends for so long, and you're just going to give it up?" Nini said, and it struck a nerve for Gina.

"You did the one thing that you promised me you wouldn't, and lied to me about it. So not only are you a traitor, but you're a liar too. So do both of us a favor and just leave. me. alone"

"Look Gi, I don't regret being with Ricky. He loves me and I love him. You can't just expect me to ignore whatever feelings I had for him, but I am truly sorry for lying to you about it. We shouldn't have snuck behind your back like that."

"Sorry isn't going to cut it Nini. I-I just can't forgive you for this. Leave me alone, forever" Gina said before walking off.

Nini didn't bother following her realizing that the girl needed space. She only hoped that Gina's anger was temporary and that she didn't really mean the words that she was saying.

She turned around, and got into Ricky's car. He agreed to take her for her first day of work.

"You okay?" Ricky asked looking into the girls eyes intently

"Yeah, I uh I understand why she's upset" Nini faked a smile and wiped the tears that were falling down her eyes.

Ricky knew she wouldn't want to talk about it anymore so he simply planted a kiss on her cheek and drove off.

"Are you sure you want to do this?" Ricky asked after he pulled up outside Starbucks. The anonymous texter was weighing heavy on his mind

"Yeah. It'll help me get my mind off everything. I need this" Nini said taking a breath

"Okay, but if at any point, you feel unsafe. Call me. Okay?" Ricky said and Nini nodded.

"I will" Nini told him before placing a short, soft kiss on the boys lips "I love you bubs"

"I love you too Neens" Ricky said as he watched the girl exit the car to go into Starbucks.

He'd be lying if he said he didn't have a bad feeling about the job, but he needed to support his girlfriend in what she wanted to do.

He took one last look into the restaurant to make sure that she got in safely, and drove off back to his house.

As he entered the house he ran into his younger sister Gina. He was about to say something to her, but she scoffed walking to the door.

"You're gonna have to get over it eventually you know"

"What?" She turned around

"Me and Nini. You know she never meant to hurt you, and neither did I. Things aren't always gonna go your way Gi"

"Whatever" the girl rolled her eyes heading out the door.
