"That's the thing. Whoever you think is blackmailing me, I don't think it's them. And I don't think the him in the messages was you"

"Wait, Nini what do you mean?" Ricky raised an eyebrow.

"There's no way that this person" she held up her phone with the text messages "is talking about you Ricky. I haven't talked to you since you...well you know, but I got this text today" Nini said

"So who do you think it is"

"Well I was thinking, and the only times I've gotten a text is when I was leaving Starbucks. There's only one person they can be talking about and that's Andrew"

"Isn't that the place you were trying to work?"

"Yeah, but I'm not so sure anymore." Nini sighed sitting down on the boy's bed. "I mean, maybe I'm in over my head here."

"What makes you think that Nini?"

"Look around Ricky. Nothing has been going right for me lately. I've been super self conscious. I lost you, the only person who makes me feel safe and comfortable. I'm getting blackmailed. When is it time for me to be happy Ricky" Nini admitted. For the first time since the breakup Ricky saw Nini vulnerable. She put on this facade as if she was okay after it happened but he knew deep down she'd been hurting.

"Hey, hey don't say that" he sat next to her and gently turned her head so that it went from looking down at her fingers in her lap to straight into his eyes. "You never lost me Nini. I would've always been here for you because all I truly want is what's best for you"

"I did lose you though Ricky. You stopped answering my text messages and my phone calls and you were ignoring me. The only way I was able to talk to you is by texting you from Gina's phone. Then-then you broke up with me. You told me that it was to protect me, but I still felt like in some way I was never enough for you"

"Nini you were always more than enough for me. Nini you're sweet, and you're smart, and you're beautiful and so much more. So never think you aren't enough for anyone because no matter what, you're more than enough." Ricky said earning a small closed lip smile from the girl.

"Ricky I- I don't know how to say this"

"Just say it. It's just me Neens" Ricky whispered.

She felt like she hadn't heard him call her by the nickname that he gave her in so long. She missed it. She missed everything about him.

"Ricky this entire week without you has been so hard on me. I've tried to act like everything is normal but I just...can't. Maybe I've become too attached to you or something but I can't function without you. Without your touch, without your presence, without your comments. And that's what scares me Ricky that's really what scares me, because what if I lose you forever? What am I gonna do then?" Nini says as the tears that had been threatening to fall, finally did.

She wiped the tears away, and tried to avoid Ricky's eye contact. This was the most honest she'd ever been with him. The most vulnerable she'd allowed herself to be.

"You'll never lose me forever Nini"

"And how do you know that Ricky? How do you know that something bad won't happen? How do you know that one day you won't get tired of me?" Nini asks as tears continued to fill her eyes

"Because I love you Nini. I always have, and I always will. As long as I'm here I'm going to protect you, and I'll do whatever it takes"

"You-you l-love me?"

"Yeah I do" Ricky chuckled a little "you know when I say 我爱我的妹妹的好朋友。她是很美"

"Yeah, and you never tell me what it means" Nini chuckled slightly

"It means I love my little sister's best friend. She is very beautiful. I've known that I've loved you for a long time Nini. I just wasn't ready to say it in English yet" Ricky chuckled slightly at the last part.

"So you've been saying it this entire time? What made tell me in English now? I mean we're broken up now"

"The moment just felt right. I needed you to know how much I love you and how much you mean to me. And if you'll have me, I'd like to be your boyfriend again"

"Wow, I love you too Ricky. I just-I don't know if I could take the risk of my heart breaking again. I mean I can't lose you"

"I'll protect you and your heart no matter what it takes Nini. When I broke up with you, I really thought I was protecting you and I convinced myself it was what was best for you. My intentions are never to break your heart. Let me prove that to you"

"Okay"

"Okay? You'll-you'll be my girlfriend?" Ricky asked excitedly and Nini nodded her head with a smile.

Ricky happily placed his lips on top of hers and felt a feeling that he missed so much for then past week.

The two of them fell backwards onto his bed slowly enjoying each other's touch. They craved to be this close to each other, their hearts were racing simultaneously.

Ricky hovered over Nini as both of them kissed each other hungrily. The kiss becoming more passionate by the second.

Ricky's lips trailed from hers peppering kisses from her collarbone down to her neck.

"Don't cover them up this time" he said before going back to kissing her neck.

"W-what a-am I uh w-what am I g-going to tell uh Gi when she s-sees them?" Nini stuttered out

"Make something up" he whispered sending a shiver down her spine.

"O-okay"

After Ricky was happy with his work he attached his lips back to hers. Only for Nini to break the kiss

"Don't get yourself into something you can't handle Bowen"

"Oh, I promise I can handle it" Ricky smirked attaching his lips back to hers.

Plot twist! It's really Jeremy sending the texts because he's secretly in love with Nini and wants to get Andrew out the picture before he gets Ricky out the picture because he knows Ricky's will be harder to deal with, so he's going for Andrew first.
