Chapter 13
I don't want her to think that I am thrilled.
I have a guess already of what does the 'future purposes' mean, but I promptly removed that from my mind because I don't want any negative thought to fill my head right now. We still have a presentation to present. I need to focus. I shouldn't be distracted.
I don't wanna be called killjoy, the reason why I didn't protest anymore.
"Secret lang 'to, ha. I never thought that she would open up something to me.
I didn't speak. I want her to think that silence means yes because what she said is true.
"Narinig ko ang pag-uusap n'yo kanina. I think she likes Caleb kaya tinawag ka niyang malandi.
She was already done putting a powder on my face, and an eyes.
"You're also a youth servant?" Iyon lang ang lumabas sa bibig ko. I didn't agree nor protest to what she said because I don't really know what to say.
I don't want to blabber words something about Shiela while talking to people because she still became my friend, somehow.
She nodded.
I immediately stood up from my chair when we heard an announcement coming from our MAPEH teacher.
"Guys, 'wag kayong kabahan.
"STONEHURST!" they shouted in unison, before raising their hands.
We strode our way towards the huge plaza in our school. The other two sections were there already, nag-iingay pa, ganoon din ang section namin na agad namang sinaway nila Micah.
Napuno ng hiyawan ang section namin dahil sa sinabi ni Angelo, one of the consistent honor students in our class.
"Mga great pretender d'yan, it's your time to shine!" natatawang ani Micah, dahilan para mag ingay ulit sila.
My other classmates jokingly acted like it was so painful because they were tapping their chests like crazy, and even acted that their faces cannot be painted because of too much heartache.
Kahit labag man sa loob kong ngumiti nang malaki mamaya tulad noong sa hiphop, I have no choice because it is for grades. I'll just imagine myself beaming widely because my mother shows care for me for the first time.
