The determination of Caleb to court me got even more vivid as the days went by. Everyday, he would give me a white rose to represent how much he loves me. When the continuation of the classes from two weeks sembreak came, hatid sundo niya ako sa bahay at eskwelahan.

Palagi rin kaming magkasama sa school, the reason why most of our schoolmates and classmates became curious about our real status. When some of them who knows us asks out of curiosity, we genuinely answer the truth.

I was on my way towards the STEM building when suddenly, someone blocked my way. It's been a while since the last time I saw her. One of her brows was raising. I didn't let her win. I stared at her blankly.

I smirked. "What do you need?"

"I heard the rumor that Caleb has been courting you for weeks now."

"What's the matter? Courtship is normal."

"Gusto mo na pala siya? Akala ko ba hindi? You're a liar. Maybe... you just let him court you to see me being defeated? Masaya ka na ba?" Her voiced was filled with anger and pain

Mas lalo akong ngumisi. "Do you think I'd waste my time to plan a way to see you defeated? A person who destroyed me doesn't deserve any worth of my time. You ruined me once, did I revenge? No. It is because I want my silence to be the reason of your defeat."

Hindi siya nakapagsalita. She maintained her expression that shows how she loathes me as a... rival, perhaps.

Aalis na sana ako, pero napahinto ako't nilingon siya pagilid. "And one more thing, hindi ako sinungaling. I like Caleb. I really do. Just a reminder that change is expected and inevitable, Shiela," huli kong sabi bago siya iniwan sa gitna ng hallway na nakakuyom ang mga kamao.

I walked away from her, wearing my emotionless face, a denote that I just won because I was the one who walked out with a smirk on my lips.

Nagulat ako saglit, pero ngumisi lang din ulit nang maramdaman ang paghigit niya sa buhok ko. It hurts, but it doesn't matter knowing the fact that I am happy. An emotion that makes her forbidden to feel because of jealous.

Nasa likuran ko siya at nararamdaman ko ang hininga niya sa tenga ko habang nakahawak pa rin sa buhok ko.

"Kung magiging kayo... I know that you'll break up soon. Kaya sana hanggang maaga pa, maghanda ka na. Breakup is heartbreaking. I can't wait to see you cry again... Just a friendly advice," she whispered.

"Sheila! Ano ba?" Napalingon ako sa gilid at nakitang tumatakbo papunta si Caleb dito at pinalayo agad si Shiela mula sa 'kin. Shiela still has that scorching stare at me.

"P'wede bang tumigil ka na? Matagal na kitang sinabihan, 'di ba? Are you still mad at Ashia because you like me, and I like her? Kung ganoon, sa akin mo na lang ibuntong ang galit mo dahil wala naman siyang kasalanan," seryosong sabi ni Caleb habang nakahawak pa rin dito para pigilan.

Umiling lang si Shiela, ginawaran ako ng galit na tingin bago nag martsa papalayo. I let out a heavy sigh. What a freak.

"Okay ka lang ba?" Caleb asked as soon as Shiela vanished from our sights. He gently held my shoulders and find my eyes for me to look at him.

"I'm fine." Not really.

I do still feel the irritation because of Shiela's sudden outburst again. Everytime I see her, I always remember how she ruined me on my graduation day. Nakakawalang gana.

"Mainit ba ulo ng baby Julienne ko?" Softness was embracing Caleb's voice when he wrapped his hand on my shoulder.

Kumunot ang noo ko sa kaniya dahil sa itinawag niya. He chuckled softly. Natawa na lang din ako.
