Summary: SCP-109 is an 1899 United States Army canteen, with the anomalous property of never running out of water. It's made of a tin alloy and fitted with a cotton cover and black leather strap. The volume of the water within the canteen is constantly and observably finite, but when attempting to pour out said water, the canteen has never been observed to run out. 109's mass and internal water volume/temperature never change, unless heated/cooled outside the canteen. 109's water is tinted blue-grey, containing noticeable amounts of tin and various electrolytes. Water produced by 109 has been reported as "tasty" and "refreshing," despite metal contents. Bathing in 109's water increased the subject's energy and noticeably improved their complexion. Harmful bacteria introduced to a container of 109's water thrived, but the same harmful bacteria inside a subject who drank 109's water died after 24 hours. 109 appears to be able to distinguish between which organism it's helping, as its response to the same bacteria differed significantly when provided a different context. 109 may be sapient to an extent. 109's water was used on plants and similar positive effects were observed. 109's water was even used to create a blood substitute for a transfusion patient, and it worked perfectly. No side effects presented, and their recovery was weeks ahead of schedule.
Usefulness: 109 is obviously extremely useful, if the description wasn't proof enough. An infinite and drinkable water source that produces a more useful version of water is an invaluable resource. 109 should be highly secured.
Against 682: Fuck no. Don't let this get anywhere near 682. If it's sapient like I think it is, it'll only help 682. Keep it away from him.
