Summary: SCP-143 is a collection of 300 specimens of cherry blossoms. 143 instances don't have fruit, and only reproduce via cutting roots and plating them elsewhere, aka own-root propagation. 143's wood/bark is light gray with smooth grained wood. 143's petals are pink, slightly translucent, feel like glass, and are razor sharp/extremely durable. The weight-to-strength ratio is unlike any material out there, lighter than aluminum yet harder that titanium. Despite how strong they are, 143's petals are as pliable as most soft woods. This hardness/pliability extends to 143's wood. Both materials are extremely difficult to work with, but not impossible. When heated to over 1500°C, petals can be fused together, creating incredibly effective armor/weapons. The petals grow very slowly, but they shed twice a year and can be collected from the ground. Should someone be caught under the 143 instances during a shedding event, they will most likely be eviscerated by the falling petals.
Usefulness: Extremely useful. Metals are a finite resource, but these petals constantly grow, and are way better than any metals on Earth. Mobile Task Forces use these petals as armor plating and melee weapons.
Against 682: 682's bite force has never been measured, but if it is less than the hardness of 143's petals, which I highly doubt it is, then using 143 to protect personnel from 682 could be a viable solution.
