Summary: SCP-117 looks to be an average multitool, but when a subject is presented with a physical problem they intend to solve, 117 will anomalously produce the best tool for the job, regardless of which tool the subject flips out. For example, when presented with a loose screw, 117 produced a screwdriver, and when presented with a dirty window, it produced a spray bottle filled with a liquid that, when sprayed, completely cleaned the window. However, supposedly to facilitate the production of these tools seemingly from thin air, 117 absorbs the essential metals out of each subject's body when interacting with the multitool, such as calcium and iron. Prolonged exposure inevitably leads to death in subjects. The exposure rate is dependent on how large/complicated the tool being produced is. Something like a screwdriver is survivable, but something like a complex de-atomizer ray would most likely lead to instant death. The subject can't choose the tool, 117 must choose the tool for them.
Usefulness: Having a multitool that produces the perfect tool for any situation is extremely useful, but due to the absorption side-effect, extreme caution must be taken when using 117. All subjects interacting with 117 must have emergency doses of iron, copper, calcium, zinc, etc. on hand as a precaution.
Against 682: 117 was used on 682 and it produced an unidentified machine that teleported the subject several kilometers away. 117 must have sensed that it couldn't produce anything to stop 682, and the best it could do was move the subject out of harm's way. Unfortunately, the absorption rate was too quick, and the subject was recovered deceased.
