Summary: SCP-147 is a black-and-white TV that exhibits two different behaviors. Optimal: When placed in a room reminiscent of a 1950s household, with furniture from no later than 1965, 147 will play episodes from TV shows of the time, none of which correspond to existing episodes of said shows. Subjects watching the shows feel relaxed and content. The volume/channel can be changed in this state, but 147 can't be turned off. Hostile: When even one modern-day item is introduced to 147's containment chamber, 147 will play color footage of violent/graphic acts, such as beheadings, rapes, executions, torture, etc. Footage shown in this state is not indicative of where/when it took place. Subjects viewing 147 in this state usually vomit almost immediately, have a nervous breakdown after only minutes of viewing, and may even commit suicide after viewing has ended. The volume/channel can't be changed in this state. 147 is indestructible, so examining its internals is impossible. 147's signal can't be blocked. When subjects wear out of period clothes, 147 plays Optimal footage, but strangely violent Optimal footage. 147 is able to tell what its subjects are comfortable with, including psychopaths/rapists, and will avoid showing footage of violence they personally enjoy.
Usefulness: It's only useful for having a nice time in a 1950s set, watching unaired episodes of your favorite 50s shows, as well as torturing masochists and/or enhanced interrogating.
Against 682: While I'd be interested to discover what 682 deems "horrific" I don't think I'd ever recover from it. I can't say the same for 682, however.
SCP-147 exhibiting optimal behavior.
