Summary: SCP-129 is a collection of several different species of fungus that infect animals with mucous membranes, including humans. The infection happens in 5 stages, but this can vary based on immune resistance, age, weight, etc. It's worth noting that at least 98% of the global human and animal populations are immune to these infections, but the remaining 2% are of great concern. In Stage 1, the first instance (129-01) infects the host's mucous membranes and multiplies quickly, causing a faint yeast-like smell for the host, but no other symptoms. A second instance (129-02) infects the host after -01, causing symptoms of the common cold and decreasing the host's immune system's effectiveness, allowing -01 to spread further. In Stage 2, a third instance (129-03) is allowed entrance to the host. Usually, mucus would stop the initial infection of -03, but -01 and -02 made sure there'd be no mucus left to stop it. Once -03 is in the host, -01 and -02 leave the host, as they've outlived their usefulness. -03 alters the host's body to be more hospitable for 129 growth. Symptoms of a Stage 2 infection include excesses of phlegm and mucus, fever, increased sweat/saliva production, increased desire to eat vegetables, and certain fruits tasting "funny" when consumed. -03 will either exit the host body after some odd weeks or the host will enter Stage 3. In Stage 3, -03 allows the host to be susceptible to infections by multiple species of 129. Infections at this stage are extremely difficult to be removed. 129-04 causes increased tear production and a slight yellowing of the eyes. 129-05 causes increased earwax production and a noticeable thickening of the nails. 129-06 causes bright yellow urine, small pellets within the host's feces, and a strong smell of yeast in both waste products. Each separate species of fungus has classified symptoms. If -04, -05, and -06 infect the host at the same time, they will develop flu-like symptoms, bad enough to leave them bedridden for weeks. After this, the host will appear perfectly healthy, due to 129 infecting every internal organ in the host's body and essentially taking over. In Stage 4, mycelia from 129 will replace an amount of the host's hair, being nearly indistinguishable from the host's real hair. The mycelia hair is extremely contagious, allowing for sexual transmission of the infection. In this stage, the host is extremely resistant to other infections/diseases. Reaching this stage means either death or Stage 5 for the host, there's no curing them. In Stage 5, as well as Stage 4, hosts can infect previously immune subjects. One instance of Stage 5 infection involved a woman exploding into spores on a crowded train. Another instance involved a cave being discovered full of fleshy-fungal growths identified as missing persons in the area, being used as a home for 129 instances. Stage 5 is unpredictable, but always deadly.

Usefulness: Not useful at all, in fact it's extremely dangerous.

Against 682: No.
