Adley's POV
Mom, dad, Caspian, uncle Alec, uncle Magnus, aunt Izzy and I are in the middle of a mission and it's a demon attack in a club. The music is so loud we can barely hear each other talk so we all go back outside and gather the plan.
"Ok Adley, Clary and Izzy you're with me. Alec, Magnus and Caspian you guys team together. We'll spread out and find the 5 demons here. Got it?" Dad instructions us
"Got it!" We all say "Let's kick some demon ass." Dad says proudly and I smile at him which makes him smile.
When we all split up but yet in teams the lights get brighter and brighter that it's hard to see. Also there is such a strong smell of alcohol in here it's making it hard to focus. Mom killed one demon, dad killed another and I just killed one.
"That's 3 so there's 2 left." Mom points out and we hear a scream and it sounded like, no, Caspian! We all run to where they are and when we get there aunt Izzy kills the last demon. I just focus on Caspian and he's on the floor in so much pain.
"Caspian hey it's ok, it's ok." I relax him and he can't breathe at this point.
"He got scratched up really bad. Take him to the Institute now." Aunt Izzy demands and I pick him up and we put him in the van and we all drive to the Institute. We take him to the hospital section and they bring him and I can't breathe or think just scared thoughts.
"Honey he's going to be ok." Mom calms me while she holds me and I just hold onto her arm and rest my head on her shoulder.
We got told to just wait outside of the room and sit down on the chairs but I just walk back and forth and that's it. Than the door bursts open and it's uncle Magnus. He quickly walks up to me and puts his hands on my arms.
"I'm going to help him Adley, he'll be alright. Just breathe ok" Uncle Magnus assures me and I nod my head and he pats my head and goes to help Caspian. I just continue to walk back and forth. As I'm doing that uncle Alec comes up beside me.
"Let's get you some fresh air Adley. Come on" Uncle Alec suggests to me and we walk outside and lean against the railing. I just feel to anxious to say anything so I just play with my fingers. Uncle Alec notices and he puts his hand on my back and rubs it. "Deep breaths Adley, what helps is Caspian knows that you're here with him. I'm sure it's comforting him." Uncle Alec helps me and I take a deep breath like he told me to.
"What if something..." I try to say but uncle Alec stops me by hugging me tight and I hug him back. During the comforting hug uncle Alec rubs my back.
"Don't think like that Ad's. Just try and think positive thoughts so you don't go insane ok." Uncle Alec advises me and we let go and I shake my head yes at him.
"I gotta say, I'm ah, I'm happy he's in your life." Uncle Alec shocks me with and I look at him in a surprise. "Really Adley, I am, he's really helped you through all this. He's always there for you. Sometimes I think he's better at being there for you than I am, your own uncle." Uncle Alec tells me and I didn't know that he thought that and he really shouldn't.
"Hey don't think that, he may be there for me but you have been there for me since, literally, the day I was born. When I was little and fragile, I would hurt myself during training. I remember the one time I was 5 and I twisted my ankle and cried because the pain was so bad. You were the one training me and you went as fast as you could to get some ice. The pain still really hurt of course, so I started to cry. You distracted me by telling me a story about fairies. I got so into the story that I imagined it in my head. I stopped crying and forgot about the pain. You've always been so amazing at being there for me. Never forget that or doubt that, ok." I remind him and he smiles big at me which makes me smile.
"Thank you Adley, that really helped." Uncle Alec says and hugs me tight and I do the same. When we let go he smiles and looks at me. "I remember that, I hated seeing you in pain. Especially you being that young. I've just always had a huge protection over you that if one little thing hurts you, it would hurt me. That's why I always have to be there with you. So you're never alone and hurt." Uncle Alec informs me and it makes sense now on why he's so overprotective of me.
"And I love you for that. Thank you" I thank him and he nods his head. Than uncle Magnus comes up to us and I walk up to him quickly.
"Is he ok?" I ask him, scared "He's awake and he's asking for you." Uncle Magnus fills me in and I hug him tight and thank him, quickly. I run to Caspian and there he is sitting up and awake. I rapidly hug him tight and he hugs me back tightly. My head rests on his shoulder and I take a deep breath out.
"I'm ok, Magnus fixed me up really well. I promise I'm ok" Caspian assures me and I just hold onto him longer and he does the same. He puts his fingers through my red hair and plays with it.
"I was so scared" I notify him, he kisses my forehead gently. "You don't need to be anymore Ad's. I'm here and I'm never leaving you, I promise." Caspian promises me
"I'm never leaving you either, ever." I promise him back and we just continue hugging and it feels so good. I can breathe peacefully now.
Caspian is ok and alive. Thank you uncle Magnus for your help. Do you guys ship Adley and Caspian together? ❤️
