Jace's POV
Clary and I are with Magnus while he makes an elixir to get the demon out of Adley. I just walk back and forth while Clary stands next to Magnus.
"Jace do you mind with your pacing. It's making me lose focus. Just sit down and relax." Magnus tells me and that just gets me more annoyed and I walk up to him quick.
"Relax! Magnus, how would you feel if this happened to Brea and Madzie uh?!" I yell at him
"Hey! Don't put my angels in this." Magnus threatens me and I roll my eyes and pace more. Clary comes up to me and puts her hand on my shoulder.
"Jace just sit down and breathe. Adley's going to be ok." Clary calms me and I listen to her and sit down while shaking my knees. Than we see Brea coming with Alec.
"Hey, how's the elixir going?" Alec asks Magnus "It would come faster if Jace would let me be in peace." Magnus complains and I roll my eyes.
"Sorry I'm so worried about my daughter Magnus." I tell him "Ok Jace, Magnus is right. You just need to calm down a bit." Clary says and I roll my eyes and continue shaking my knees.
"Adley's grown up as a shadowhunter so this elixir should be safe for her because she's so strong. Plus I know all of her weaknesses and this won't get in the way with them. She'll be ok" Magnus explains to us and Josh walks in here.
"Adley just tried to kill me. The demon, that's possessing her tried to kill me. It's completely taken over her." Josh explains to us
"Let's get it out of her, now. Come on Magnus hurry" I panic and I continue walking back and forth.
"There it's done, all you have to do is get her to drink it. Easy" Magnus says and I sigh.
"So you say" I tell him and Clary and I go to find her. As we're walking Clary stops and I go up to her and put my hand on her arm.
"What's wrong?" I ask her "What if we can never get her back? What if we, what if we've lost her for good?" Clary stutters and I hold her tight.
"We will get her back, we will." I promise her and she buries her head in my neck.
I just don't know what I'd do with myself if I lost my daughter. I think it would break me, destroy me, hurt me. My daughter means everything to me. My whole family does.
Will the elixir work or is Adley gone for good? ❤️
