Adley's POV
We're all seeing what Caspian can really do with his shadowhunter skills. Uncle Alec, aunt Isabelle, mom, dad and I are all watching over Caspian to help him out."Alright Caspian, what can you do?" I ask him and he gets on the centre and grabs a crystal sword. Dad comes beside me and doesn't take his eyes off of Caspian.
"You sure about him Adley?" Dad asks me and I look at him straight in the eyes.
"I've never felt more positive about someone. So I'm sure" I tell him and he rolls his eyes. "Fine" Dad says annoyed
Caspian starts and he isn't too bad he is just really tense. It doesn't surprise me because he is using all of his frustration out of it. Which does help but it also distracts you from focus. While I think that he gets the sword slipped out of his hands with a loud bang. I go up to him and pick it up for Caspian and give it to him.
"Don't use all of your frustration on the sword. It won't connect with you if you do. It's resisting you because you don't have trust in yourself. Take a breath and relax but don't get too out of focus." I inform him and he does exactly that. "Good, try again" I tell him
Caspian tries again and this time the sword is connecting to him a bit better but he's still tense.
"Much better, I'll let you practice on your own so you don't have nerves or tension." I tell him and he looks at me before I walk away.
"Adley, thank you for your help. I really appreciate it" Caspian tells him and I smile and walk away because he can't have any distractions. Out of nowhere dad pops out in front of me.
"Seriously dad" Dad just looks at me and than looks at Caspian. "Let me talk to you alone for a minute." Dad tells him and I roll my eyes.
"Dad he hasn't done anything yet." I tell him and he can't keep his eyes off of Caspian.
"No but he will" Dad says and he takes Caspian to a different room. What just happened? I look at mom and she comes up to me and smiles.
"He's just protective of you Adley. He loves you and he doesn't want to see you get hurt. Neither do I, you need to watch out for Caspian. You can't get to close to him ok. Not yet" Mom advises me
"I promise I won't" I promise her and she smiles and puts her hand on my arm.
"Always watch out for people." Mom reminds me and I just smile at her. She's right, even though nothing has happened with Caspian yet, we don't know him that well. I can't put all my trust in him yet.
I won'tAdley really needs to be careful on how close she gets to Caspian. She cannot trust right away. You never know what could happen. ❤️
