Jace's POV
I'm not gonna lie I had a strong feeling that the clave was going to do this to Caspian once they found out about him. Right now their questioning him in the prison cells in the Institute. Adley is scared out of her mind right now, she keeps walking back and forth as we wait for them to be done.
"Adley it's going to be ok. Caspian will be fine" Clary tries to calm her and she just ignores her.
"Clary I told you this guy was trouble since day one." I tell her
"Jace what did we talk about last night, remember?" Clary reminds me
"Alright fine" I say and just stare at Caspian and his hands are shaking in the chair.
Adley's POV
My head is buzzing, my body is shaking and my heart is racing. I can't control it right now I'm so nervous for Caspian. As I keep walking back and forth I feel a hand on my shoulder and I look up and it's uncle Magnus.
"Ad's just breathe ok" He tells me and makes me breathe with him which I do and it calmed me down just a bit. "There you go, Caspian's ok. You have nothing to worry about." Do I though uncle Magnus? Don't I? I think I do, my boyfriends being questioned.
Jace's POV
As Clary and I are talking Alec comes beside me.
"So, you think he's going to prison don't you?" Alec asks me
"We'll see" I tell him and I look at Adley and she just keeps on walking back and forth and shaking but than Magnus helps her.
"She's really nervous about this. She loves him, a lot" Alec says
"I know Alec, I'm not blind. I told Clary I would try and trust him but he's my daughter's boyfriend. That sounds like a fantasy trusting this guy." I say to Alec
"Especially that he worked with Octavius, it makes it harder to trust him." Alec is literally saying my thoughts right now.
"Exactly, how do we trust him after that." I agree with him
Caspian's POV
I'm not surprised I'm being questioned by The Clave right now. Why would they trust me? They should because I haven't talked to Octavius since than. Adley's family doesn't trust me. The only person who truly does is Adley and that makes me feel protected and safe and loved.
"So you tried to kill Adley. Why be dating her if you tried to kill her?" The clave asks me and I sigh in annoyance.
"I was forced too I didn't have a choice. It was under Octavius' control. He was all apart of this. You should be asking him these questions instead of me." I tell them off honestly and they just look at me pissed.
"You'll be staying here for the rest of the day until tomorrow morning. We still need to look more into you." They tell me and walk out of the room. I have a big sigh and look at Adley who looks really scared right now. Her mom has her arms around her which is helping Adley stopping from shaking so much. Her hands are still buzzing like crazy. I really wish I could help her and help me.
Will Caspian get out of this mess? Or is it over for him? ❤️
