One Magical Winter

Chapter 34

        A couple of hours later they had stopped to pick up Luke. He was surprised to hear that Adam was engaged again.

         "It's a pleasure to meet you, Cassie." Luke told her before the bus started heading to Las Vegas. They would be doing one show there. Cassie was excited to see it. "So, how was your winter break in Mendocino?"

         "It was fantastic for the most part. That is where I will be living from now on." Adam told him.

         "Really? Does that decision have anything to do with this pretty lady?" Luke asked him. He was glad to see Adam happy again.

       "Yes. I have to give her daughter away this summer when she gets married. I'm going to be a step-father."

        "You don't look old enough to have a grown daughter," Luke told her in shock. They all sat around catching up until Cassie said that she was a little tired and was going to take a nap. Adam gave her a kiss and told her that he would come lay with her later. After she went to lay down he started talking to Luke again. He told Luke how they met and about Stephen.

        "There is something seriously wrong with the man. He escaped prison and he might come looking for her." Adam got on his laptop and found the news alert online. "This is what he looks like." He showed Luke the picture. "I want to print some out and give them to security at all our venues. Just in case he tries to find her at one of the concerts."

        "That won't be a problem. You should probably print some photos of the other guys, too." Luke checked the time on his watch. "It's going to be quite a few hours before we hit Vegas. Why don't you go take a nap, too."

         "Try not to make any noise this time, Adam," Austin smirked at him.

       "Shut up." Adam got up and went to lay down next to Cassie. He was feeling tired since they had left fairly early. Lydia was down taking a nap with her mom.  

        "So, is this guy really the way Adam described him?" Luke asks Tim.

        "Yes. He even stabbed her on New Year's Eve. I personally don't think that he will be stupid enough to come after her while she is it's us. I'm more concerned about him going after Megan. However, I think that Cody could probably kick his ass."

         "Megan is pretty feisty herself. Don't forget how many times she chased after you. Especially when you smashed that cake into her face."

         "What?! Tim did that?" Luke asked.

          "He loved provoking her. She gave as good as she got, though." Jenika told him. They had all become very fond of the girl. The continued talking about their vacation and how excited they were to be back on tour.

       Adam loved having Cassie on tour with him. He wanted her to see what kind of life he could give her. Showing her the different places that they get to go to. He held her to him as they slept.

      "Stephen, it says here that they will be playing in Vegas tomorrow night. We might have enough time to get there before then." Josh had been looking up tour dates and cities. "They go to Texas after that."

         "Let's try for Vegas. We can leave tonight and be there by tomorrow. It will be easy to blend in with the crowds there." Stephen had looked at the tour dates. He just now needed to figure out how to catch her alone. Surely she wouldn't be with Adam every second of the day. They made plans to leave that evening.
