One Magical Winter

Chapter 11

        Adam stood at the bar waiting to order their drinks. He stood there taking everything in. Cassie had done a fantastic job setting all of this up. He was surprised at the turnout. The bartender finally took his order and got one rum and coke and one Jack and coke. As he walked back to their table his eyes looked her over again. He couldn't get over how great she looked as a female pirate. It was kind of funny that they both dressed up a pirates like they had planned it. It hadn't been planned at all. He handed her the drink and she smiled up at him.

       "Do you get this turnout every year?"

       "Yes. Everyone always likes the Halloween bash and the New Year's Eve bash. Like I said before, Halloween is my favorite holiday." She was watching the dancers and happened to catch Tim twerking on the floor, which made her crack up. She downed her drink and was starting to feel a little loose now. She didn't see Megan go up and request a song that her mom really liked. When the band started playing Foreigner's Hot Blooded, Megan came to pull her onto the floor. Megan looked to Adam for help. He grinned and told Cassie to have some fun with her daughter. He would be here when she was done. Cassie went onto the dance floor and started dancing to the song as she sang a long with it. Adam moved to a table a little closer to get a better view. He could also hear her singing along to the song. The way she was moving her hips as she danced turned him on. Feeling brave after having a few drinks, he went onto the dance floor. Megan grinned when she saw him approaching. He put an arm around her waist as he started to grind  against her from behind. She adjusted to his rhythm as they dance. Megan winked at Adam and danced off to find Cody again. 

          "You are definitely hot blooded," he whispered into her ear. "And I think that I have a fever of a hundred and three. Come on, baby, do you do more than dance? Cause I'm hot blooded." They danced to the rest of the song like that. A slow song came on next. It was Bon Jovi's Bed of Roses. He spun Cassie to face him with one arm around her waist pulling her close with the other one holding her hand. She slipped her other around his waist as they swayed to the music. Megan looked over at her mom while she was dancing with Cody. She smiled to herself. She knew that her mom was falling in love, even though she wouldn't admit it yet. There was still the issue of her so-called father. She looked around and saw Sami and Chance dancing, as well as Austin and Oleana. She then noticed a man standing in the doorway looking at her mom in an unpleasant way. She knew that this was one of the two losers that her dad had hired to spy for him and cause trouble if necessary. Her eyes came upon Tim sitting close by.

        "Tim, Jenika, can I talk to you?" When Tim nodded, she sat down. "There is a man standing in the doorway that works for my sperm donor." Tim snickered at the nick name. "I know that he and one other guy stay in contact with him. I'm afraid that they might creat a problem." She looks around and sees the other at the bar. "The other one is at the bar right now. He looks like he has been drinking a lot but it could be an act. I don't like the way they are looking at my mom." She was starting to get a little upset.

       Jenika patted her hand as Tim motioned for Chance and Austin. "It will be alright, sweetie. The guys won't let anything happen to your mom. You already know what Adam did to your dad."

         "He isn't my dad, he is my sperm donor, that's all."

        "Ooh, I like that. Her sperm donor. That's a good one. Now what seems to be the problem?" Austin asked.

        Tim told them what she had noticed. The guys glanced around the room. The one by the door was still looking at Cassie with disgust. The one at the bar was looking at her like she was a piece of meat. They needed to notify Adam without letting the two guys know that they had been discovered. Sami and Chance decided to dance over to them and switch partners so that they could tell them. There had been another slow song playing when Sami and Chance danced over to them. Each asking to cut in. Adam wasn't to happy but the look on Chance's face made him agree so they switched partners. In the meantime, Tim and Austin were both keeping a watchful eye on the two men.
