BTW... I didn't like the model I picked in the last book for teenage Carrie so I decided to change it. NayNayR80 was the only one to respond and I would highly recommend not reading this on work break cause you're probably going to be glaring at your boss for no reason. ;)
Carrie received the message from Salim and Dayton that they were coming to visit. She looked forward to seeing her friends. Her wolf, Faye, was beyond excited.
"What's up with you?" Carrie asked.
"The twins are coming!" Faye replied.
"Okay. And?"
"I just have a really good feeling that one of them is our mate even though their wolves weren't present last time we met. It really sucks too. I mean we're together from birth but we don't actually gain consciousness until our human shifts. It's not fair."
"I count myself lucky to have gotten you when I did." Carrie said quietly. Both parts remained silent as memories flooded in of a time they both tried so hard to forget.

The thunder boomed and rain poured down making the small room chilled. It was a miserable day.
"Today is my 10th birthday." Carrie thought. "It has been almost two years since I became a rogue."

She kept the name her mother gave her but changed the last name to Talts after the Beta who tried to protect her. As much as possible she tried to stay under the radar. The rogue couple that had taken her to Rogue Lands and under the barbaric rule of Kyle Pitham, the self proclaimed "East Coast King." He was arrogant, depraved, and cruel as were those that were close to him.
