Author's Note: I've moved the "Important Info/Character List" (contains the pictures and backstories of the demons Athen's had summoned in book three) to the beginning of the book in case you missed it. I've decided to publish two chapters for ADreamA84 who left me a nice comment and this is just my way of saying thanks to her and all the readers still with me.
CHAPTER 14 (MATURE CONTENT)
The clatter of a pot on the kitchen's tiled floor woke Roger from his slumber. It was only late afternoon, but he was no longer tired. Rising from his bed, he yawned and stretched. Standing he made his way to the kitchen.
He smiled when he saw Cotton dancing in front of the sink rinsing out a rag she had used to dust. Vampires were very sensitive to dirt and dust so they tended to live in a sterile environment. Roger wasn't fond of the idea of living in a hospital so he was pleased to see that Cotton would clean with natural products rather than bleach or chemicals. Their house was warm, bright, and comfortable.
Since becoming a vampire, he noticed that he was more careful about how did things. He hung his coat up rather than toss it in a chair and filed away his papers because the disorder bothered him. Seeing his Beloved take such meticulous care of their home filled him with a sense of joy and pride. He appreciated the effort she put forth and he tried to do special things for her to thank her. Pulling a thin gold chain from his pocket he walked quietly up behind his wife.
She jumped slightly in surprise and a smile curved her soft pink lips. He returned her smile holding her in place before lifting the necklace up and clasping it around her neck. She pulled out the earbuds she had in her ears and set them on the counter before picking up the small locket on the chain. Opening the tiny lock her eyes teared when she saw the two of them kissing in front of a sunset. A small inscription was engraved on the other side.
Together forever, My Love.
"It's beautiful." she said with a smile.
"I love you." Roger said, placing a kiss on her plump bubblegum lips.
The tender moment passed as hunger began to war with lust and the pair quickly pulled off the other's clothes. Backing Cotton to the small but sturdy kitchen table, Roger turned her around roughly and pushed her front to the cool wooden surface kicking her legs apart. Kneeling down he placed a kiss on both rounded globes before pressing his face in between eating that pussy as if it were the last meal before an execution. Every drop of juice was savored and lick counted. Cotton moaned loudly. She was drenched and needy. Her legs trembled as she approached her edge.
"Please..." she said, holding onto the side of the table.
"Hmmm?" Roger hummed against her wet slit driving her insane.
"Fuck! Please baby! Please fuc- Oh!" she gasped as Roger slammed into her dripping heat.
He added his own string of curses, as she came around him clenching his hard staff in a pulsating velvety grip. The bruising hold on her hips added to her pleasure as he pumped into her. His movement became choppy and they cried out simultaneously in wild ecstasy.
Roger's cell phone began to ring a moment later. Recognizing the tone, he reluctantly pulled away, placing a kiss on his Beloved's shoulder.
"You alright?" he asked.
"Mmhmm." she hummed with a smile. "Just give me a moment."
With a light smack on her ass he left the kitchen to answer his phone.
"Hello?"
"Hey grandpa. Sorry I know it's early."
"It's okay I was up."
"What are you doing?"
Cotton walked into the bedroom holding their clothes and throwing a saucy wink at him before walking into the bathroom. The way his Beloved's hips swayed had his low part on the rise.
"Nothing." he answered evenly as the sound of running water distracted him. Leaning to the side he saw the shower stall and Cotton's curvy form's outline through the distorted glass.
"Carrie is here and she said that there are Hunters nearby. We were just informed that Aurora is bringing them to the pack house. Could you come over?"
"I will. Just give me a minute to shower."
There was a beat of silence before Tracy said, "Shower only grandpa."
"No promises." he said, quickly hanging up the phone.
^Cotton Evans^
----------------
After a longer than a minute shower, Roger knocked on his granddaughter's mate's office door. Aurora, his great granddaughter, opened the door.
"Hey grandpa!" she said, giving him a tight hug.
"Hey baby girl!" he said, returning her hug. "Where are you off to?"
"Showing some guests their room. See ya later."
Aurora left with a tall man and a little girl following her. Turning he was surprised to see the group in front of him. He recognized most of them through annual meetings of Born Hunters.
"Phil! Tonya!" he exclaimed, hugging his old friends who were a husband and wife team.
While a Protector is the only female Born Hunter. Women, wives and daughters of Born Hunters, train as well. It is a choice not a requirement, Roger's first wife chose not to be involved directly. The women performed a variety jobs such as tending to the wounded, acting as distractions, or guarding incapacitated prisoners. They also provide back up as snipers or trackers.
"What are you all doing here?" Roger asked, confused. Entering lands belonging to packs, coven, or other supernaturals without permission was dangerous and could lead to war.
"We've been tracking down a rogue vampire. Extremely dangerous. Murdered two rare supernaturals. A fox and crow shifter."
Tracy immediately thought of Asya and Abram. Asya was a fox shifter like their father while Abram was a crow shifter like their mother.
"We captured a rogue vampire last week." Jonathan said. "I've been meaning to contact Dameon Wilde regarding her."
"If she's the same vampire we've been hunting, then she'll need to be executed immediately because she's too dangerous to let loose."
Roger nodded in reluctant understanding. Jonathan didn't see a problem with ending a dangerous criminal. Only Tracy felt hesitant. Her instincts were never wrong and something about this situation didn't feel right.
==========================
So we're getting a new vampire because we didn't have enough people and story lines going on. Ha!
Sorry I'm half asleep. Hopefully everything made sense.
