CHAPTER 62 (MATURE CONTENT)
LaRosse...
Trish stayed out of sight. She had hoped to avoid Dameon for as long as possible but knew that she would eventually have to face the music. It was hard to stay away but she wanted to at least be able to look in the mirror without loathing the reflection.
"You can't seriously be using the bathroom again." A male voice stated from the other side of the wood door. "Unless you have a serious bladder condition Puddles. Then you might want to get that checked out."
"Go away."
"I have to shit."
"Then use your own bathroom. Why are you in my room anyways?"
"Just come out." He huffed. "We both know you're not doing anything."
"No."
"Fine. I'll just remove the werewolf ward you've placed on your room and let a certain overbearing male wolf in here."
"NO!" the door unlocked slowly.
The older wizard sat on the chair beside the corner desk. Trish sighed and walked over to the bed. Neither spoke for long moments.
"If it makes you feel any better. Dameon slept with pretty much all the candidates. Half at one time so I've heard and he was the only one standing at the end of it. Quite the accomplishment." Haggai said with deadpanned sarcasm.
"Shockingly. No that doesn't make me 'feel better.'" Trish snarked jealous hearing that her Soulmate was with so many women.
"My point is that he's no saint either."
"Thanks asshole." Trish said quietly with a sigh knowing that the wizard was trying to make her feel better. "But it's not about him. I'm trying to find peace with myself."
Haggai stood and walked over to the bed and patted her shoulder. "Good luck with that Puddles. For what it's worth, I think you deserve to be happy."
Trish smiled sadly. "Maybe one day I'll believe that."
Haggai left the room. He didn't know what else to say and understood Trish's doubts better than most. He had his own relationship troubles and was a poster child for self-sabotage. He liked Dona but didn't have a clue of how to proceed. She had a lot of personality and spunk wrapped up in a calm almost aloof demeanor.
He knew that she was waiting for him to make his move. Which was only fair since he was the one who had the hang ups. She was his Vixen yet she wasn't. When they finally mated then Delucy's spirit would fully merge with Dona's. Haggai was scared to lose Delucy's spirit. He couldn't let go and allow himself to fall in love with Dona though she was a beautiful woman. Healthy with meat on her bones and a nice ass just like he preferred with plenty of cushioning on the front top.
The situation weighed heavily on him and he couldn't bring himself to give Dona a chance. He felt like a bad mate and it wasn't fair. More than once she tried to talk him but Haggai found something else to distract himself. Dona knew what he was doing. She would look at him with displeasure and simply say, "You're an idiot." Before leaving him alone with his fears.
Something had to give. Haggai shook his head as the weight of his troubles left him feeling unsettled. Perhaps he'll figure things out one day but for now he chose to once again ignore his problems.

The light misting clouds gave the front parlor of the Blood's home a muted natural light and provided a soothing ambience to an otherwise dreary day. Stacey's eyes overflowed with joyful tears as she hugged Josh tightly. "I prayed every night that I would see you again. I've missed you so much."
