CHAPTER 45
Present Day...
"Eesha was outnumbered. Her friend, Darius, managed to reach her on time but the werewolf agents had already taken me." Asya said. "Darius took Abram to safety while Eesha went after the couple. They evaded her for almost two days. She eventually caught up with them near here. She killed them but had to hide because the pack was approaching. When she saw Alpha John accept me into the pack immediately, she waited. She learned about my adoptive parents and saw that they were treating me well. So, she decided to leave me with this pack figuring that it would be safer. Abram went to live with our aunt secretly while Eesha had been hunted and chased by the Council."
Phil chuckled, "I've seen her file. She's a tough one to track. She wouldn't have been easy to kill either. She was trained by a pack of werewolves in India, the former warrior king, Darius, and host of other beings."
"Odd." Jonathan said. "Our patrol said that she went with them almost peacefully. Of course, there was one guard that liked to harass female prisoners. He had already been reprimanded and was on watch. Justice was served by the vampire. Other than that, and the whole escape thing with our mortal enemy, it was a quiet stay." He shrugged.
"She was looking for me and wasn't trying to hurt the pack." Asya said turning at her brother.
Abram sighed. "I wish our parents could have escaped."
Skylar spoke again, "The Cradle of Life has been compromised the only thing we can do now is work with what we have. There are some new recruits here. They're ready for training."
"Who?" Phil asked.
"Lona's friends. The Hunter's Council know nothing about them." Skylar smiled widely, "Let's make sure it stays that way."

Location Unknown...
Tori banged on the trunk lid, "I don't care how cute you are, this is kidnapping!" she shrieked.
The witch wasn't quite sure what had happened. Her brother had passed in his sleep. Per his request, she didn't have a funeral. He told her that he didn't need or want people gawking over his corpse and to just stick him in the ground beside their parents. She abided by his wishes and was in the process of selling everything they owned. She wanted a fresh start somewhere else. It had been a dream to travel around the world but when she discovered that she was immortal she stayed relatively close to her family to spend as time as she could with them.
Her twin was all she had left and now that he was gone, she needed to move on. Her first stop was going to be the Cub Creek Pack. Her parent's friends were there and she had promised to see them. It was the least she could do to repay them for their generosity and help when she needed them.
First things first, she had to settle everything with her brother's apartment and all his possessions. Their parents' things that they wanted to keep were in a storage shed and Tori decided to add her brother's keepsakes there as well. Everything else she would sell.
An ugly orange couch and armchair were the last items not sold. Tori hated the stupid eyesores but of course her brother refused to throw them in the dumpster because he claimed that they were so comfortable. She planned to toss the hideous pieces out but was contacted at the last moment. When the buyer for the couch set showed up, he cast some sort of spell on her. Now she was stuck in a trunk with weird handcuffs and no magic.
Tori only saw her captor for a moment but damn was he cute. She was instantly attracted and would have defiantly said yes to a date had he asked like a normal person but of course she had to get the psychopath. Wearing sunglasses indoors should have been a dead giveaway to the crazy. Now that she thought about it, she wondered what his eyes looked like. She had heard that it was through eye contact and touch that witches and wizards knew that they were Soulmates.
