CHAPTER 69
LaRosse...
Tracy practiced conjuring her weapons over and over. She wanted to make sure that everything went smoothly. She had to be able to conjure not only her weapons but weapons for everyone else as well since they would be checked at the door. Jonathan was wearing a special armor that would protect his neck and vital organs when he shifted. The material was thin enough to not be noticeable under the tux he wore.
And damn did he look fine. Tracy thought seeing her mate stand up as he finished tying his shoes.
"I can smell you from here baby doll." He smirked.
Tracy bit her lip flirtatious manner while raising a brow. "And?"
"And if you keep on.... The big bad wolf is going to devour that sweet little pussy that's crying to be fucked."
Tracy's temperature shot up a few degrees as her thighs squeezed together.
Jonathan took a deep breath savoring his mate's scent before giving her a look that promised sin. "Do you want that baby doll?"
Tracy whimpered watching his eyes darken. "Yes Daddy."
A loud knock interrupted them.
"Damn it!" Jonathan growled in frustration. Watching his wife's sexy ass sway beneath her dress as she walked to the door wasn't helping his current situation. Sitting on the chair next to the bed. He placed a throw pillow on his lap and held it down.
Li, looking absolutely stunning in her gown, ran into their room as soon as Tracy opened the door. "You have to help me!" she cried desperately pulling Tracy out of the way and slamming the door shut.
Both Tracy and Jonathan immediately tensed. "What's wrong?" Tracy asked. The door was flung open and Gericho walked in with a predatory gleam in his eye. "There you are my sweet."
"NO!" Li shrieked pulling a long wicked looking knife out from nowhere. Tracy was shocked. Where did she even hide that?
Li slashed out as Gericho approached. He caught the blade in his hand. Blood dripped onto the carpet. Disarming he Beloved, Gericho threw Li over his shoulder.
"NOOOOO! TRACY HELP! SAVE MY HAIR! HE'S GOING TO MESS IT UP!" she screamed as Gericho carried her off. They passed Gideon in the hall and he kept walking ignoring his parent's antics. Gideon asked if Jonathan and Tracy were ready to leave.
Tracy nodded. She knew that he was tense and worried about Aurora. Tracy worried about all her children but right now they had to try to cut the head from the snake. The sooner they finished with this ball the sooner they could go back to Cub Creek. Tomorrow the 48 hrs. would be up and the Hunters, along with the wolves they brought, would strike. Cotton had informed her that the cave had been sealed, preparations were made, and now it was a matter of waiting.
--------------------
It was 9 pm when they finally arrived at the large Edwardian mansion. It was definitely grand and Tracy did not envy the person in charge of washing the windows. Which reminded Tracy, she needed to wash the windows in their stone house when they got back and weren't under attack. She missed normal boring everyday life where the infinite pile of regenerating laundry was the most monumental undertaking and the dirty dishes reappeared seconds after washing them. No more of these instances of deadly conspiracies or murderous secret groups.
Gideon and his parents rode in the limousine in front of the limo Jonathan and Tracy were in, and Hezekiah, Malachi, and Stacey were in the third. Men garbed in fancy livery opening doors and assisting guest suddenly gave Tracy a fresh set of worries.
