You haven't been horny for a whole day.

Are you okay?

ha ha

I'm proud of you.

I've got something for you.

a reward?

Kind of.

Starting today at 12 pm you can use swear words again if you want. But no insults and no cursing on me.

nice

After dropping Maddie off, I lay down in my bed knowing that if I don't want to be late for training, I should get up. I don't feel like training. But to be honest, I don't feel like doing anything. I get up to have a smoke. I listen to some music but turn it off again. My phone vibrates.

Not very happy about that?

i am. thx

ill use it well

I'm in the middle of training when my phone rings. During training I always put calls on vibration and I wonder what the hell he wants again, having a bad feeling because of my last experience during training.

I don't answer. I wait until the end of the training. Only then do I look at my phone, sweaty and tired, but still feeling a lot better than before. It wasn't him who called but Maddie. I call her back immediately.

I hear a click on the line, as if someone took the call but no one says anything. "Maddie?"

"Os."

I stop breathing when I hear his voice. My limbs freeze, and somehow I'm afraid he will hear me. There is so much to say, so many words in my head, but nothing comes out of me. It's like my whole body is locked in some kind of barrier.

Why the hell does he have Maddie's phone?

A mocking laugh slithers through the line, crawling up my spine like cold fingers. I shiver.

"Are you still scared of me?"

I hang up and drop my phone, my fingers shaking. I pick it up right away. The display is broken. "Fuck..."

"What's wrong?" Jamie, another one of my youngest students asks. Apparently we both are the last one left in the studio.

"No. Nothing."

"Is your phone broken?"

"Yes."

"Does it still work?"

I tap my phone. It's not responding. God damn it. Does this have to happen now? I have to call Maddie. "Fucking hell, it's broken."

"It's pretty old, isn't it? Get a new one."

Wow. Great idea. Why didn't I think of that? "Yeah, I will." If life was just that easy. If I just had enough money for that.

When I get home, I throw my broken phone on my bed. I close the window and take a hot shower, turning the music on so loud it numbs my mind, drowning out the voice I can still hear in my head.

Only then I try to take care of my phone. Turn it off. Turn it on again. I try this a few times. Then I get so angry I throw my phone against the wall.

Yeah. I might have anger issues. But honestly, everyone would if life was constantly against them, wouldn't they?

I take a deep breath. I have to call Maddie. I'm going crazy here. Why did she call me?

The doorbell rings and I wince hard. My thoughts flicker to David—then I shake my head. Impossible. Stupid boy.

I put on some clothes. Sweatpants and a T-Shirt. It rings again. I click my tongue and stumble to the door. I open it a crack. "Yes?"

The man, whose name I still don't want to know, lifts his hand with his phone, raises an eyebrow, and says, "It's been almost a day."

"My phone's broken."

He tilts his head. "This isn't an excuse, right?"

"It doesn't work anymore." He doesn't seem to believe me. I roll my eyes and walk to my phone, which is still on the floor. "See? Total damage. Doesn't work anymore. It's not an excuse. I couldn't text you."

He takes my phone and looks at it, raising a brow. "Quite old."

"What?"

"Quite old, considering I give you so much money. Why don't you just buy a new one?"

"What a brilliant idea, thank you." He furrows his eyebrows, looking a little angry. "Sorry," I sigh. "Not a good day. Of course, I'll get my broken phone fixed as soon as possible."

"When?"

"I don't know, tomorrow? It'll take a while to get it back from repair, though."

"Just get a new one, Oscar. Don't you have a replacement phone?"

I can't help but laugh. "Replacement phone? Really? Are you that rich?"

"Dear god..." He takes a deep breath. "An old phone that still works? Anything? Don't you have savings for situations like this?"

I look at him, unbelieving. "Why do you think I'm sleeping with you for money? I'm broke, asshole."

He turns around to go. "I'll be right back. Meanwhile, you can come up with a summary of what I missed."
