TW - swearing, mentions of conversion therapy

KARL POV -

The call abruptly ended and Sapnap and I sat there in shock.

Fear immediately rippled through me. Quackity needed help. We had to save him him. Sapnap seemed to have the same thought, he took my hand and we ran downstairs to my mom who was making food in the kitchen. She looked shocked to see us, seeing as we hadn't left our room since Quackity had left.

"Mom! We have to save Quackity! His parents sent him to some secret evil conversion therapy!" I cried, Sapnap supportively nodding. My mom looked as shocked as we felt when she heard this. Her brain seemed to start working immediately.
"When's your next school break?" She asked, putting down the plate she'd just gotten out.
"Next week," Sapnap said almost instantly, making my mom smile.

"Okay boys, and when is Quackity eighteen?" She began pacing the kitchen,
"Also next week," I told her, making her smile grow even more.
"Alright, we're going to gather together a team, you can pick who, then we're going to save Quackity. His parents can't control where he lives after he turns eighteen so if we get him out on his birthday then it won't be illegal,"

She was right and the plan was perfect.

Excited to be doing something other than sitting around crying. Sapnap and I raced upstairs, already listing off names of people we wanted to come with us and save Quackity. We sat down on our bedroom floor, a notebook in hand, a list of names.

We stared proudly at the list before beginning to message everyone, informing them of the plan and asking if they wanted to come on a 'road trip' to Mexico over the holidays.

We'd found out from Quackity that the school year at his new school didn't have holidays apart from six weeks in summer and it also had year round protection so it was going to be extremely difficult to get in and save him but we were confident that we could make it.

All of them replied almost instantly, immediately agreeing to join us and all of them eager to get Quackity to safety. We all agreed to meet the next day and come up with a real plan.

Sapnap and I went to sleep that night, worried for Quackity and excited to save him.

The next morning we awoke. It was a Thursday morning. Seven days until Quackity turned eighteen. The road trip to Mexico would begin next Tuesday. We were going to save him.

Thursday -
We pulled together a bunch of tables at the PP cafe, all of us gathering food before we began our meeting of the Save Quackity Squad. Most of the three hour meeting consisted of us raging at Dick Si'Normous, the principal of Quackity's new school. Pitch yelled a lot of swears and after a while we all joined in enthusiastically.

Then we put together a three step plan. A plan perfect for saving Quackity... kind of... it wasn't the best plan... but at least we had a plan though.

Step 1. Go to Mexico.
Step 2. Go to the school.
Step 3. Save Quackity.

After we came up with our ingenious plan, we had to come up with a way to get to Mexico. We realised we didn't have a vehicle that would fit us all. We sat around for a full half an hour, thinking, before Kyle pulled their earphones out of their ears and spoke up for the first time,
"My mom has a minivan that I could borrow? It'll seat all of us,"

We all glared at them,
"And you couldn't have said that half an hour ago?" Pip asked, putting ends hands on ends hips, rolling ends eyes. Kyle shrugged and went back to their phone, grabbing a cupcake from the table.

"So, we'll all pitch in for gas and snacks and stuff?" George asked, all of us nodded in reply.

So it was settled.

Now just had to wait for Wednesday.

Friday -
The first day of waiting was boring. As expected. Sapnap and I stayed in bed all day, wishing we had a way of knowing if Quackity was okay.

Saturday -
The second day of waiting. We hung out with Wilbur, all three of us reminiscing memories with Quackity and going through photos in our camera roll, unsurprisingly finding many extremely close up photos that he'd taken of himself. Wilbur also found a picture of the two of them dressed as a ghost and a duck for halloween when they were kids.

Sunday -
The third day of waiting. George and Dream took us to the movies, refusing to let us stay at home for another day. We watched a horror film and by the end of it, Sapnap was clinging onto my arm, his face buried in my shoulder as he muttered the same thing over and over again, "fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck,". Beside us, George was clinging onto Dream, the only difference was that George wasn't swearing his ass off.

Monday -
The fourth day of waiting. Pip and Pitch came round and we had a baking competition, almost destroying my mom's kitchen in the process. Pip and Pitch successfully won with a three tiered cake decorated with frosting art of the two dogs painted on the counter of their cafe. Sapnap and I made the worst cake I'd ever seen, it was not good, it went into the bin faster than Dream speedrunning Minecraft.

Tuesday -
The fifth day of waiting. The final day of waiting. The worst of all. I couldn't do anything out of anticipation. I couldn't eat. I couldn't sleep. I couldn't sit still for longer than a few seconds. I spent the day cleaning the house, painting my nails. Four times. And painting Sapnap's nails. Four times. Reorganising mine and Sapnap's closet, beating Minecraft and going grocery shopping with Sapnap.

Wednesday -
It was finally time to leave. We all gathered at Kyle's house, thanking their mom for letting us borrow her minivan. Then we all piled inside, my mom driving, Techno in the passenger seat, Wilbur, Dream and George in the row behind. Pip, Pitch and Kyle in the next row. Jam, Tea and Fury in the row behind them and Sapnap and I took up two of the three seats that had been installed in the very very back.

Then we were off, on our way to save Quackity.

Hopefully, everything would go smoothly.

Sadly, nothing ever really went smoothly with us, did it?
