QUACKITY POV -

Today was a day of mourning. Or it should've been. But we had more pressing matters on our minds, like spending our last three days together, making sure we made the most of every second.

We allowed ourselves a total of half an hour cuddled up in bed crying the next morning. Then we hauled ourselves out from beneath the warm covers and texted all of our friends with the news of my departure, promising that we'd make sure I got to say goodbye to all of them.

I decided to spend the morning with Will and then rest of the day with Karl and Sapnap, it was really important to me that I got to say goodbye to Wilbur, he was my best friend after all. I got dressed and said goodbye to the other two who claimed that they were preparing a surprise for that afternoon.

Then I began the walk to mine and Wilbur's tree house. We'd built it with the help of his mom and dad during the summer break when we were eight. I hadn't been back there in ages. I approached the large tree that stood atop of a hill on an unowned piece of land. I smiled at the familiar sight of the mismatched wooden house that sat high up in it's branches.

I climbed up the rickety ladder, I could hear the soft strumming of a guitar coming from above me. And a voice that sounded like it was coming out of a phone,
"And then everyone goes 'A.M.!' And-" Wilbur looked up when he saw me and he gave me a sad smile, "Joe, I have to go! When Mark and Ash get back tell them what I just showed you okay?" He waved a hurried goodbye to his band mate before hanging up and setting his guitar aside.

"Q, I'm gonna miss you so fucking much," Wilbur mumbled, pulling me into a hug, clearly trying not to cry. I hugged him back, also trying not to cry. I was about to leave behind everyone I cared about. Wilbur had been my best friend for so long and I hated the thought that I might never see him again.

We both collapsed into beanbags, smiling around at the familiar walls of the tree house, decorated with drawings and posters from what seemed like a past life. We shared a smile as we stared around at our childhood, reminiscing the simpler times, the times when we would sit up here for hours and talk about anything and everything, teachers we didn't like, classes we didn't like, people we wanted to beat up, that sort of thing.

"So," Wilbur said, leaning back, "There's this girl in my marine biology class and I kinda want to ask her out," He grinned at the floor, his face flushing slightly. I gasped and sat up,
"Spill the tea Wilbur! Tell me everything! Who is she?! What's she like?!" I cried eagerly, making him laugh.

"Well her name's Sally, she's really funny and smart and sweet and she's so gorgeous man, I'm just like madly in love with her, but I don't think she knows that I exist. And she's way out of my league, she's just so perfect," His face lit up as he talked about this girl, describing very brief conversations that they'd had and how he'd completely embarrassed himself by falling on his face the last time they'd spoken.

I listened attentively as he spoke, taking in every word and making comments where necessary.
"I'll be your wingman! When we go back to school, I'll..." I drifted off, realising that I wouldn't be going back to school, at least not here, with my friends. Wilbur seemed to realise this too as the mood in the room shifted and a blanket of sadness seemed to settle over us.

"We'll see each other again, right?" Will asked, his eyes shining with tears. I nodded, trying my best nod to cry as well,
"Of course, you're my best friend Wilbur, you always will be," We hugged again, both of us bursting into tears, unable to hold it in.

I was going to miss Wilbur so much, he's been my best friend for so long, the only person I really trusted with everything and now I had to leave him behind.

We spent the rest of the morning laughing talking, we even ordered pizza at one point but all too soon it was time for me to go home, back to my boyfriends and the surprise they had waiting for me.

I gave Wilbur another hug, promising to see him again before I left and I began the walk back home.

When I got there, the house was dark.
All of the windows were covered up and all of the lights were off. The air-con was blasting and I was confused. I stepped over the threshold, looking around the pitch black house,
"Guy?! Is anyone home?!" I called, taking a step further inside and closing the door behind me, blocking out the last bit of light.

Then I heard voices.
"Ah fuck! My hand!" Sapnap's whispered voice yelled, making me laugh softly.
"Ssshhh! Sap, he's going to hear you, nimrod," Karl hissed from out of sight. I walked slowly into the living room, searching for the pair. To my surprise, I saw a projector set up and the couch had been turned to face the bare white wall behind it. The coffee table was full of snack and drinks and candy and there was a stack of blankets and pillows on the floor.

Then I saw Karl and Sapnap. They were crouched in a corner, whispering softly and giggling, trying to get each other to shut up. I walked over to them and crouched down behind Karl,
"Why are we whispering?" I whispered, making them both jump and Karl toppled backwards into my arms. I planted a soft kiss on his cheek.

They both leapt to their feet, grinning at me,
"Welcome to the cinema Quackity!" Karl cried, tugging me over to the couch as Sapnap moved to turn on the projector.
"This is your living room Karl," I pointed out, making Sapnap chuckle,
"Not tonight it's not, it's our cinema," Karl rolled his eyes at us as Sapnap pressed play and the starting scene of 'Breaking Bad' appeared on the wall.

I cheered as we all collapsed on the couch, getting ourselves comfortable and grabbing bags of candy.

I finished the first of the three days cuddled with my boyfriends, wishing that I could freeze time and stay here with them forever.

Day one down.
Two to go.
Then I'd be gone.
