Chap 60

Owen's POV

"Taylor Alder, the son of the business Tycoon, Matthew Alder, is said to have taken his own life out of guilt,"  I watched Olivia as the newsreader continued, "He has set himself on fire in the same building he had killed his victim, Raphael Queen 3 years ago," 

"The police have searched his living quarters and found his suicide note." 

To whoever it may concern,

I cannot live with the guilt and regret anymore... I approached L and her kids a lot of times, but she still doesn't want me, after all the trouble I went through to erase that Raphael, whom she thought she loved! I was too late, she has given her heart to someone else now and I cannot bear it! After deciding to take the man she loves now and those bastard children I took my first move, by hospitalizing that sl*t. But, the nightmares of what happened three years ago started surfacing again and I snapped out of everything, the guilt started eating me alive. So, this is my confession letter and suicide note.

                         On the 15th of September, at a party, I tricked L into going to a room upstairs with me and attempted to have se- no.. attempted to rape her, but Raphael came and stopped it. I was furious, they were engaged and had a baby on the way. L was mine first!! I couldn't bear the thought of another man having her, so after a few days I called L to come with Raphael and forcefully took them to an abandoned warehouse, I kept them there for at least three days, three days of torturing Raphael while I made L watch it, but then she somehow called the police, and when they were near, I shot Raphael, and ran away leaving L there, I regretted it. But I had to escape. Then she fucking told the police and tried to sue me! But money brings you power and money will let you get away with anything, even murder, and that's what I did. It broke my heart watching her cry as the judge stated that I was not the culprit and that it was a random accident. Tampering with the evidence and paying him helped a lot. 

7 months later I went to meet her, she was heavily pregnant, I didn't like that. I stabbed her, but luck was on her side again, a passerby saved her and she was taken to the hospital, the twins survived, but were born prematurely.  I was enraged. Now she will be reminded of Raphael, even after I went through this trouble to erase his existence. 

My father came to know about what I did and he sent me to France, I lived a normal life there, planning out my meeting with L. But she moved on to another man. I truly loved her. She was my everything since kindergarten. It hurt soo much when your true love doesn't love you back, but now I know, the only way to see her happy is to leave her be and erase myself from her life, and this world.

So, I will leave now, taking my departure from where it began and how it started, our demise. Goodbye L, I love you, and hopefully, in our next life, I will be able to love you with you reciprocating my feelings and have a family of our own.

I read the letter that was displayed on the scene. Bu- How? Taylor doesn't seem like the guy who would feel guilty and kill himsel- I looked at my fiance. The corner of her lips was slightly curled up as she typed into her phone. 

I know it's wrong but I tried getting a glimpse of what was amusing to her.
