Chap - 39

Olivia's pov

The family movie night was a disaster. By the end of the night, Old Lani and Jane acquired a swollen eye and broken nose while Owen and Lexa lost chunks of their hairs. So yea the night was......eventful.

It's been 2 weeks now and everyone went back. Alexa went to Paris again with her....last client and I can't stop myself from thinking that she might have a massive crush on the dude..... And according to what Lexa said he doesn't seem like a bad guy... I might need to spy on that man.

I sighed as I drank my coffee looking at the kids who were playing in the playground. Two more days until Raph's death anniversary.

I need to send the kids for their usual camping with the Millers. Thankfully they have children who are around the twins' age and again thankfully they always go camping around this week of the month and they happily let the twins join them. And that's good because I do not want them to see me like this.

"Ms. Queen!! Troy is not sharing his toys with me" I snapped out of my thoughts before going with Oliver to talk to Troy.

"Ok... Diana...please do tell me if the twins are having any problem. You know Ocean's allergy right?" I asked her for the 100th time. They were leaving today and won't be back until the day after the anniversary. I don't like letting the twins move out of my sight. But...I have no other choice, but to do that.

"Ok guys remember what I told you? Don't wander off alone. Either have Mrs. Miller or Mr. Miller with you. Don't cause any trouble ok?" I asked looking at the twins sternly.

"Uff we won't mommy," Ocean said before hugging and giving me a huge kiss(which I returned) before running to Daphne, Mr. and Mrs. Millers' 5-year-old.

"Don't worry mommy, I will take care of ocean," River said hugging me.

"Take care mommy and don't be sad while we are gone. Ok?" I nodded my head. I could feel myself going to tear up. I'm gonna miss my babies. After giving me a final kiss River went inside the car and waved goodbye which I returned.

I watched as the car turned around the corner.

"Boo!!!!" I screamed before turning and high kicking the intruder on the jaw making them fall.

"Ouch!!! I have to say, Olivia, that's a mean kick." Owen said as he rubbed his jaw. I immediately went to his side checking where I hit him. It looked red. I am sure a bruise is gonna form there.

"I am so sorry. I thought it was a creep," I said before leading him into the elevator and taking him to my home to put some ice on the wound. Old Lani went on her vacation with Bill. Those two are like best friend goals I tell ya!!!

"Noo I am sorry for scaring you," Owen said sitting on the counter in the kitchen while I went to the freezer and took the icepack.

"Where are the twins? I was hoping that we all could go and watch a movie," Owen said looking hopeful. Here's the thing. Ocean is Owen's best friend and River....well Owen is trying hard to befriend him.

"They went camping with the Millers," I said as I took an ointment from the cabinet and slowly moving towards Owen.

He moved his legs apart so I was standing between them while I placed the icepack on his jaw.

"Ohh, Man!!! I was hoping to spend the weekend with them!!!! I eve surfed Google on how to win a 3-year-old boy's heart," Owen whined while I chuckled.

Soon we fell into a comfortable silence as I gently rubbed the ointment on his jaw. I could feel his burning gaze on me and when I looked up finally realizing how close we are. I gazed at his grey eyes, it held warmth something I wanted to drown myself into, eyes like Raph's...But more browner.

I quickly snapped out of my daze before clearing my throat and moving back. After 5 seconds of silence, Owen spoke up.

"Hey, you wanna have a Fast of the Furious marathon?'' I nodded my head and soon we went to the living room after preparing our popcorns to watch our favorite movie.

Owen went back home at 3 in the morning. After we watched the movie we talked about everything and I was thankful that he made me forget about today....... Yes, today's the date.....

I looked at myself in the mirror, I was wearing Raph's hoodie and sweatpants. This was his favorite hoodie......

I placed the Lillies on top of his grave before sitting beside it.

"Hey, Raph. How are you? As you can see I am not ok...but I will get better soon. The twins miss you more especially after getting to know about you. I miss you too. Every day when I look at their faces I get reminded of you and trust me it's not a good thing. Because it breaks my heart. Why did you have to be so stupid and jump in front of me you idiot!!!" I sobbed wiping my tears with the cuff of the hoodie. And just like that spent the rest of the morning and afternoon sitting in front of his grave and crying my eyes off before going to the nearby liquor store and buying two bottles of strong alcohol.
