YELLOW is the person who you are living for. the person who saved your life and the reason for your happiness.
"I dream slowly so that missing you doesn't come "(-perry poetry)
Being a mother of two lovely sunshines is something any woman would wi...
"You are to join us for a dinner with someone very important who can help our company reach the next level, and then you will marry his son," she said as if she had not just announced that I was about to be sold off for the future of their company. Funny how she thinks that will work. Jokes on them, I am already married to a wonderful man who is six feet under.
"And what makes you think I will agree to this?" I folded my arms, glaring. My mom laughed.
"Oh, Olivia. You do realize you have two three-year-olds, and how you were a suicidal child who almost died if your brother had not shown up that day. You are not even going to therapy now to get better. Your father and I are influential enough to ensure social workers label you unfit to take care of two toddlers and place them in foster care, away from you. Then you will come with us and still be forced to marry that man."
I froze. Of course, Jack had been snitching to them. Yes, I had hurt myself. But I never intended for the blade to go that deep. It was his death anniversary, and I just wanted to feel something. After dropping the kids off at summer camp, I did it. And if Jack had not shown up, I would be dead.
"You cannot do that..." My voice barely came out. But I knew they could. They absolutely could.
"Oh, honey. This is your fault. You are weak. Resist all you want, but think about your children." Her voice dripped with fake sympathy.
"You have no other choice. We will give you until tomorrow morning. Think as much as you want. The dinner is tomorrow," she said before walking out with my father. He had not even spoken a single word since they arrived.
"Olivia..." Jack stepped forward to hug me, but I moved back. I glared at him.
"Get out of my house. I expect not to see you anywhere near my kids or me." He looked hurt, but he did not say anything. He simply left.
My legs gave out, and I collapsed onto the floor. I wanted to scream at everyone and everything.
She was right. It was all my fault. My fault that I loved him and married him without obeying my parents. No, I did not regret marrying him. But it was my fault he died. My fault that my children's lives were now at risk because I was an irresponsible mother.

"We are home!" Leo shouted as he walked in with the boys and Old Lani. Harry was the first to notice me on the floor with tears running down my face. He rushed toward me immediately.
"Olivia? Are you alright? Why are you crying on the floor? Where are the twins?" Harry asked as he helped me onto the couch. I muttered that they were upstairs, and Liam and Luke went to check on them.
"Olivia... You are scaring us. What happened?" Jacob knelt beside me.
"It is nothing, guys," I lied. Leo opened his mouth to ask more, but Old Lani placed a hand on his shoulder, shaking her head.
"Anyway! Who wants some cookies?" Old Lani asked, trying to lift the mood.
