Olivia's POV

Owen gulped even more and stood behind me for some sort of protection while River stalked towards us, dragging Ocean with him. He stood directly in front of Owen's knees and looked up at him. He held his hand out for Owen to pick him up. Which Owen instantly did, scared that River would glare at him even more.

When River was sitting on his waist, he glared at Owen. "I love mommy more!! And if you hurt her!!! I will pray that you walk on a Lego!!!" he glared at him before wiggling out of Owen's grip and coming to me, tugging on my jeans. I sighed.

I picked him up while Ocean was back to sitting on his shoulders.

We reached the arcade area.

"UNICORN!!!!!!!" Ocean squealed as she pulled Owen's hair, and pointed at the huge doll.

We walked towards the game. I was going to play when Owen stopped me.

"Let me do the honors for winning that unicorn for the princess, my Queen," he said as he dramatically bowed before paying for the rings. River rolled his eyes. I slightly pinched his hand and giving him a glare before placing him down to stand next to Ocean. He quickly held her hands tightly not wanting to lose her. He did the same with mine. How can I be mad at this boy??

After a lot of trial and error...Owen gave up. Huffing.

Ocean smirked at me. I smirked back.

Here's something about me. I am a pro in these games.

I moved Owen aside before paying for the rings.

I took the ring. Evened out my breathing before focusing on the neck of a bottle, flicking my wrists before throwing it. It was a perfect shot.

River and Ocean cheered as the person at the stand got me the unicorn. Owen just kept staring at me with wide eyes and an open jaw.

Lunch went by pretty smoothly. Ocean was loving every second of Owen, whereas her twin seemed like he wanted to bury the same man 6 feet under. After lunch, we spent the day in a park nearby, just sitting under a tree and playing UNO.

Owen, being the nicest person he is, walked the three of us to our flat. Ocean dragged River into the flat, talking about keeping the unicorn in some special place, while I stayed back. Both of us stayed quiet for awhile; the silence wasn't awkward, but it gave me some warmth.

"I'll see you over the weekends then, have a comfortable night, Olivia," he smiled before turning around.

"Wait-" my hands shot out to take hold of his wrist, now why would I do that?!?

Owen turned around. "I just wanted to say thank you for today and yesterday, you didn't have to, but you still did-" he stopped me from rambling.

"Olivia," I watched him laugh as a small blush crept its way to my cheeks. "I love the kids, they are very adorable, I wouldn't swap this day for anything! I had fun as well, spending time with you," he smiled, "and with the kids, of course, and since my father and your parents are trying to force us into this whole arranged marriage thing, or whatever, it's nice that I get to bond with the kids, though I dont think River is a huge fan of me."

"He'll come around; he had so much fun today as well, he's just wary of everyone. I'm sure he will soon enjoy being with you."

I was soon pulled into a warm hug, my hands raised to push him away, but instead, they wrapped around his body, both of us standing there silently. After a few seconds, Owen moved back from the embrace.

"I'm sorry, I don't know what got over me, again."

"Its ok, thank you, Owen, good night," I smiled before closing the door, not waiting to see him enter the lift. Though I don't want to admit it, that felt nice.

I shook my head before getting back to the matter at hand.

"River! Come down!" I called out for my little boy. I heard his little feet carrying him downstairs.

"Yes, mama?" his eyes! He knows he's about to get scolded. With every power I had, I kept a straight face as I picked up my boy and sat with him on the sofa.

"River......why were you mean to Owen today?" I asked him calmly, holding a soft glare at him.

"I don't like him," he mumbled, playing with the hem of his shirt.

"And why don't you like him?" he huffed before mumbling something under his breath.

"Come again." I raised my eyebrow.

"He- I don't want him to hurt you, mommy!! What if he hurt you and leave you like dada?? I don't want you and Ocwean to get hurt!! What if he is a meanie like Dada?" he pouted. I could see tears forming in his eyes.

Oh my baby.

"River....your dada didn't hurt mommy. Not purposely.... He went to the sky to protect us from the monsters." I said, holding back my tears. I need to have a talk about him with my children. I am literally an idiot!! How can I forget that River can easily see through me!?!? I feel awful for making them hate their father and making them think that he was the bad guy.

"But he left us..." River's lips trembled.

"No..he didn't. He is with us, here. " I pointed to my heart where I imprisoned him and me, stopping myself from ever giving my heart out to anybody.

"It was dumb of me to think that you wouldn't understand. Tomorrow mommy will tell you guys about Dada. And trust me, you will love him. But now,we have a problem in hand." I said. River looked down.

"I know...I will say sorry to him. But I will see for a bit more...then only I will like him. I don't want him to hurt my girls," he said as he folded his hands again.

"Good, because now we will be going to see him tomorrow and apologise," kissing him, I picked him up and went to their room, and I tucked them both in.

"I love you both, my angels."
"Love you too, mama."
