Olivia's pov

Owen turned out to be good company for all of us. Even River slowly started warming up to him. Not completely though. He still kept glaring at Owen whenever he talked to Ocean or me, but honestly, it was kind of cute, you know?

After we finished making the cookies, I called the boys and Old Lani to join us. I made some hot chocolate too, because why not. River sat on the counter behind me, swinging his legs and complaining about how much he hated Owen.

"River, haven't I told you that 'hate' is a strong word and you shouldn't use it?"

"But Momma, he is bad..." he grumbled.

Soon everyone arrived and we decided on having a movie night.

We ended up watching The Secret Life of Pets for the hundredth time in our lives. I'm not even exaggerating. Whenever it is movie night, the kids always win and we all end up watching that movie.

By the time it was over, River and Ocean were fast asleep, so with Harry's help, I carried them to their room and tucked them into bed.

Harry and I were walking out of the room when he stopped me.

"Hey, umm... Olivia... ummm, why did they pick me to say this?" he groaned, struggling to get his words out.

"Just say it, Harry," I said softly.

"Umm, so, we have a football camp next month, and it's around the date of... you know... that day. And it's compulsory for us since it adds to our final grades. If you want, we can st—"

"Just go, dude," I cut him off gently. "I'll be fine. It's been three years. I'm pretty sure I'm already over it." I shrugged, even though a part of me knew I wasn't.

He looked unsure at first, but eventually he nodded and left with the others.

After everyone was gone, I cleaned the already spotless house again. It's something I do when I'm stressed.

The boys wouldn't be here. And Old Lani might not be around either since she and Bill were going on vacation.

I hate that day. The anxiety that comes with it. The heaviness. The sickness in my stomach. The depression wraps itself around me like a shadow.

I took a quick shower and went straight to bed.
