C.11: I'll Be Okay

Two days later, the whole team is together.

We are sitting around the meeting room trying to figure out what to do.

"We have no idea where he is. Clint got called to help Furry. Thor is gone again. I mean... this is a lost cause until something happens" Bruce points out

He has a point. It has been two days and we don't know anything.

Buck looks lost in thought while Res looks exhausted. I look around and everyone else looks the same. Nothing has even happened yet and we are already tired..

Just as I'm about to get up and walk away, Tony's phone rings.

"Yeah?" He answers
"Why?"
"Alright. She's coming" he hangs up

"That was Fury. He needs you Y/N" Tony says
"What, why?"
"He didn't say. Just said he needed your help. I'll get a car ready"

Shit.

"Alright, please be careful doll and call if you need anything" Buck says then gives me a long hug, and a kiss.

"Make sure you check in with us" Tony adds
"Of course. I'll let y'all know when I'm there"

"I love you doll"
"I love you more" I smile.

"I also love you Tony" I say with a wink
"I love you too" he says with a grin.

I've been on the rode for awhile, the driver hasn't stopped any. It must be important I get there.

I'm scared. Nick hasn't ever asked for me.

I'm finally getting out the SUV.

I walk towards the doors to a facility, everyone is evacuating....

Fury meets me and we start walking

"What's going on?" I ask
"Not really sure yet. Walk with me"

We walk up to another agent.
"How bad is it?" Fury asks
"That's the problem sir, we don't know"

We step into an elevator and head down.. I follow behind Fury and listen.

"Dr. Delving read an energy surge from the Tesseract four hours ago" The Agent says
"NASA didn't authorize Selvig to go to Test Phase" Fury states
"He wasn't testing it. He wasn't even in the room"

What in the hell is going on?

"Spontaneous event" Agent comments
"It hurt turned itself on?" hill asks

"What are the energy levels now?" Fury asks
"Climbing. When selvig couldn't shut it down, we ordered evac"
"How long to get everyone out?"
"Should be clear in the next half hour"
"Do better" fury states.

"Will you tell me what's going on?" I ask again
"I need you to help me keep something safe. You feel energy, don't you?"
"Yes.."
"Just pay attention, stay alert, and I'll explain soon"

We get to Stairs and start walking down some more.

"Sir, evacuation may be futile" Hill says
"We should tell them to go back to sleep" fury states sarcastically.
"If we can't control the tesseract energy there may not be a minimum safe distance"
"I need you to make sure the Phase 2 prototypes are shipped out" Fury tells Hill

I just follow and listen.

"Sir, is that really a priority right now?"
"Until such time as the world ends," Fury turns around to face Hill, "we will act as though it intends to spin on"

"Clear out the tech below. Every piece of Phase 2 on a truck and gone" Fury tells her
"Yes sir" Hill turns around to leave, "with me" she tells two soldiers.
