1.7 Loving Embrace

A/N: Both parts to this chapter are incredibly dialogue heavy and also contain quite a bit of intimacy - NOT SMUT!

13th Oct 2021 8:30pm (Rae POV)

I was startled awake by the sound of loud, thumping music, "I guess the party has started..." I thought, it didn't even bother me though, I was so focussed on what was happening in this bed that all the noise coming from outside was drowned out, the first thing I felt was comfort, then safety, Sykkuno's arms were wrapped around me and I'd never felt like this, I felt like no-one could ever hurt me again, it was the best feeling ever, I never wanted this feeling to end, if you wanted to move me you would have to chop off his arms and pry them from my grasp. I could hear him lightly snoring as my face was planted in his chest, as I smelled his shirt I was met with the pleasant vanilla aroma, it was just as I imagined it would be, I slowly and carefully rolled over as to not wake him up so that we were in a spooning position and I could feel his breath on my neck, it was warm and carried the scent of mints, I heard him muttering something under his breath as he lightly stroked my ear with his lips while hugging me tighter, an action that made me back into him whilst simultaneously blushing like crazy and biting my lip.

Sykkuno: "I love you Rae..."

Rae: "I love you too..." I said with a smile on my face knowing he couldn't hear me.

(Sykkuno POV)

I woke up to something brushing against me, as I opened my eyes I saw that it was Rae rolling over carefully, I could tell that she was trying not to wake me, though that didn't really work did it? Due to her position shifting her hair was now in my face so I smelled it out of curiosity, "Mmmmmm... Strawberries..." I thought as my smile lifted up, I didn't know whether she was awake or not so I leant in close, close enough to stroke her ear with my lips to which her body melted into mine, and whispered into her ear.

Sykkuno: "I love you Rae..." I said grinning hopefully.

Rae: "I love you too..." She said as she let out a silent giggle.

I was so happy at what I heard so I hugged her tighter making it feel so secure. We just laid there for what felt like hours, though I'd known it was only a few minutes when we were very rudely interrupted by a drunken Jodi dragging a very embarrassed John by his belt buckle, they were clearly looking for somewhere to get it on and when my gaze met their eyes their faces reddened in embarrassment at the sight of us cuddling though we didn't dare to move a muscle and leave our comfortable position.

Sykkuno: "Please leave..."

John: "We're sorry..."

Sykkuno: "It's fine, just get out of here!"

Jodi: "Sorry Rae, sorry Sykkuno..."

Rae: "Mhmm..."

As John and Jodi left I heard Rae mumbling something, meaning she's awake, I apologised for their interruption.

Sykkuno: "I'm sorry about them..." I whispered softly into her ear which made her melt into me further, any further and we'd become a puddle, remnants of an ice cube.

Rae: "Don't worry about them, I'm here with you... It's fine..." She muttered.

Sykkuno: "Rae...?"

Rae: "Mhmm?"

Sykkuno: "Can we talk?" I said sternly as her body tensed up.

Rae: "Do we have to? Can't we just stay like this... forever... In silence?"

Sykkuno: "As much I would love to lie with you... forever... I really do need to talk..."

I felt her body relax as I said forever, she was clearly so comfortable that it killed me to disturb her peace, but it was important.
