2.7 Betrayed Trust

*Ten days later*

22nd July 2021 8:00am (Rae POV)

I woke up to a pleasant sight, Sykkuno lying shirtless in bed beside me. It was a sight that was becoming more and more frequent with all the nights we were spending together, it had all started when he had his first nightmare.

Flashback

13th July 2021 2:00am

I had just finished playing with the other Amigops, who were all constantly pestering me about Sykkuno and his well-being. I was streaming a few hours ago but I had stopped and was just casually playing TFT off stream.

After I was finished playing I was just sat at my setup, scrolling through Twitter as I hovered over a tweet that Sykkuno had sent out a few hours ago.

Gonna be taking a couple weeks off of streaming, I need to sort out my life before I'm able to return. Maybe you'll catch me on one of @Valkyrae's streams👀👀

I liked the tweet and retweeted it before putting my phone down, turning off my PC. I headed out of my streaming room and entered the kitchen, grabbing a glass of water as well as a granola bar from the pantry. Once I had finished in the kitchen I threw the wrapper in the bin and headed to bed.

As I was walking past Sykkuno's room, I peeked my head in the door only to see him lying shirtless, something that made me bite my lip out of desire. Ensuring that he was okay, I slowly closed the door before hearing incoherent mumbling from inside. I shrugged it off as him having a dream and closed the door, heading to my room. I was so tired that once my head hit the pillow it was lights out.

2:45am

Not so long after I had fallen asleep I was awoken out of my not so deep slumber to the sound of screaming. I was so disoriented and confused but was quickly snapped out of it as the screaming persisted. It was coming from Sykkuno's room and I realised that he must have been having a nightmare.

Feeling a need to comfort him, I raced over to his room and swung the door open only to see him sweating profusely and tossing and turning in his bed. Wanting to end his suffering I crawled into his bed and straddled him as I shook him awake to which he jumped.

Sykkuno: "Ah! Rae?" He questioned agitatedly.

Rae: "Sykkuno? You okay?" I asked out of concern and worry.

Sykkuno: "I was having a nightmare and you were there and so was Richie and he... He..."

Rae: "He what?" I asked.

Sykkuno: "He... Never mind..." He spoke strangely.

Sykkuno: "What are you doing here? On top of me?" He continued.

Rae: "Well I heard you screaming so I tried to wake you!" I exclaimed.

Sykkuno: "Oh... And is there a reason you're still on top of me?" He asked, making me flustered.

Rae: "Uh... I uh... I..." I stammered nervously.

Sykkuno: "I'm joking, I'm joking!"
