1.23.2 Date Night in Korea (Short)

A/N: Just imagine in the pic at the top Syk is behind the camera, taking the photo since he's a shy boy, but enjoy this chapter! I don't know how long it'll be but it doesn't cover a whole lot, just Sykkuno getting drunk for the first time in front of Rae, that's all of it.

This chapter is very dialogue heavy in the middle section as it's essentially just Rae and drunk Syk talking in the back of a taxi, this may make this way longer than it needs to be but it'll also clear up some story plot issues I've found.

Also, much like I did with my third long story I will have various people speaking Korean, I of course used Google translate which isn't the most reliable for translating when you consider context and tones and whatnot so if it's off then I apologise, but blame Google, not me please.

Rae and Sykkuno have had an absolutely wonderful day so far, since it was their last day in Korea, well, second to last considering they'd be flying home tomorrow, they both had made plans to spend the day with each other and without any of their friends whatsoever, a bit of a romantic outing if you will.

They had already been doing stuff for the whole day, they left the hotel around lunch time and the first stop on their trip was the N Seoul Tower, famous for being the highest point in all of Seoul, the whole gang had planned to go later in the day, but Rae and Sykkuno wanted to go first, they wanted to go alone, why? Well, they wanted to visit the locks of love, if you didn't already know, the locks of love is this great big chain fence around the top of the tower with thousands of padlocks on them, each one signifying a couple's love for each other, and Rae and Sykkuno wanted to become one of those couples, adding a padlock of their own to commemorate their immense and sheer, undying love for each other.

They couldn't find a padlock with the initials R and S together, strange considering those letters were right next to each other in the alphabet, though they instead found this beautiful rose gold coloured padlock that was shaped like a love heart with the initials on R and T engraved into it, R as in Rae, and T as in Thomas, that was good enough for them, especially when Sykkuno reasoned that Rae wouldn't always be calling him by that name, and that one day, far in the future, she would call him by his actual name.

After they had added their padlock to the locks of love they simply stood at the railings of the tower, leaning on them as they admired the view and chatted, though Sykkuno always found himself admiring a better view whenever he would look at his girlfriend, something that he even commented on which naturally made Rae blush, followed by a slap on the shoulder from the feisty woman, as expected.

They went inside once their stomachs began rumbling, hungry for lunch, there were many restaurants inside the tower and they even found this western-themed restaurant with hamburgers, so they decided to eat there and remind themselves of what American food tasted like, they'd have to get used to it again starting tomorrow in the afternoon, after lunch had finished they left the restaurant without leaving a tip, as tipping in Korea wasn't done for whatever reason, from there they both got some coffee before they just walked back to the streets of Gangnam, holding hands as they did, it wasn't terribly far, but the walk was made better as they were both right by each other's sides.

Once they were back in Gangnam Rae and Sykkuno simply wandered the streets, sometimes Rae would see something she liked and despite having the money to buy it herself, Sykkuno would always beat her to the punch and swipe his card first, much to her annoyance as well as her appreciation, though she got her revenge upon seeing Sykkuno stop and look at something in the window of a store, he turned to face her and she smirked, he couldn't tell her no fast enough before she ran in and bought it, immediately getting her card out first and making the payment, and now Sykkuno had something to take home from the Korea trip as well.
